Day 8
We were close.
Closer than you think.
We were tight
Until that night
Then gone in just a blink.
We shared it all.
Our thoughts and plans and dreams.
Our world was one
And it was fun
Until we bursted at the seams.
We were young.
Our eyes were fresh with wonder.
We thought we’d go
And together grow
But then everything went under.
We were small.
Little seedlings, if you will.
Imaginations
Without limitations
And it was all just fine until.
You ghosted me.
And in the shadow I must stay.
Unseen, unknown
Now fully grown
With nothing left to say.
I died that day.
And you had to leave me behind.
Or what little light
Was left inside
Never would have shined.
I get it now.
Though I must say I’m still uneasy.
About how my own
Mind has shown
It doesn’t even see me.
You ghosted me.
Sincerely Signed,
Your dissociated mind.
