Day 7
Deeply Rooted
I watched it grow
Every day
That deeply rooted soul
And underneath
The dew-filled earth
Lay a seedling few days old
That seed began
To sprout one day
The beginnings of new life
And painful as
The process be
It was worth all the strife
It’s in those winter months
You see
That the roots must dig down deep
To thrive and stretch
And grow despite
The difficulty
All the hard work
stirs Far below
In this deeply rooted soul
It’s the only way
That come someday
This seedling just might grow
Into the radiant
Life-filled being
Once packaged very small
The blooming of
A wonderful
And deeply rooted soul
So, what’s within a seed, you ask?
Maybe no one knows
Until those roots struggle long enough
That nothing stops their growth.
What we see
In others
Every single day
Is the process
That uncovers
What creation would display
We are all in process
Finding out
These seeds are made of gold
A precious treasure
Growing far within
our deeply rooted souls
