Back off, I say, I’ve seen this act before
I will not play another round,
let me show you to the door.
Followed by resistant sounds -
***
you think I’ve changed the unspoke rules?
Yes, indeed, I have.
Because the key is not for you
to hold within your sweaty hands.
***
I’ve told you many secrets
to move the barrier between.
Instead, you choose the darkness,
claiming to be unseen.
***
Insisting I exist there,
within your comfort zone.
Despite your grand intentions,
I decided I have grown.
Thank you for reading! This poem may read a bit herky-jerky in parts - it’s supposed to, in my attempt to make a point. Does it work?

I love the ending.
yes it works. Great poem. Well done.
"I've decided I have grown." Loved that line. Taking care of you and saying goodbye to the relationships or vices that try to keep you down. Great work!
