Garlic, Onions, and a Sideways Grin

and you know how much I hate onions

You taste like garlic bread,

even with that little blob of toothpaste

still stuck to your sideways grin.

But I’d always let you kiss me,

even if you ate an onion sandwich,

just so I could see that smile

and fall in love with you

all over again.
