Forget-Me-Not

Many have argued for more than a year

Much of the story still not made clear

Taking notes, trying to share

Honestly no words, math or pictures could encompass this despair by lives taken by this plague

The count goes higher than wars or accidents ever seen by eyes still here

That so far see deaths absence, what luck to of steered clear

There is just a hope of learning

So next time there will be less bodies left for burning

Listed names to read out loud to keep the mind turning

A remembrance slightly better than a number, so the numbness does not leave the world asunder

Still nothing to be proud, nothing quiet or profound
