Forget Me Not

That Blind Kinda Love

It wasn't love at first sight

When he met her

She wasn't his typical lover

He didn't even notice her presence In empty rooms

Her light didn't glow as bright as he was used to

She was alien to him

When he finally met her

She was plain

But a work of art

With hidden details of beauty

He had never seen or felt before

Slowly he found parts of her

That made him weak

He was then blinded by her heart

Her kind heart

And like a blind man

He started falling for her soul

Not the way she looked

Because his sight was dead

But the way she was

He was so used to falling for faces

He didn't intend to fall for her

But he didn't regret it either

She gave him love

Love that made him vulnerable

Love that scared him

Because it felt too good to be true

He was so used to the quick fix type of love

That ended as soon as it started

That always hurt in the end

That was toxic but made him look good

But with her it was different

She made him feel good

Made him feel wanted

Because he finally loved blindly

And chose never to see again
