Fight or Flight

The choice within fear is one of two roads

where the path will either add to or lighten your load

one way seems easy but is filled with deceit

while the other is challenging yet gives you the strength not to retreat

in fear you can forget everything and run

but in that choice the true value of your life you will shun

in fear you can face everything and rise

and by the strength found in your adversity is where your character truly lies

if given into the shame of your fear

the lessons to learn you will never come near

but if you receive the blessings of fear

the fullness of your potential will become more clear

one is destructive and the other blessings are bestowed
