Fatness

The Bulbous Sassy Little Bean

Mittens and Fatness Cuddles

They say dogs are just like their owners

To that I can attest

*

I had a dachshund named Fatness

Princess Fatness because she was

gracefully fatter than all the rest

*

I loved how her belly hung down to the floor

Even a diet couldn't quell her curves

She was a beautifully bulbous bean dog

*

Her extra plushy belly

made her the best cuddle buddy

I'm a little curvy German queen myself

but that wasn't how she was most like me though

*

She used to sigh

rolling her eyes

Looking at me like a human

*

I always wondered what stirred in her brain

with such a sassy exhaust

*

I always wondered where she learned that from

*

Then one day I was annoyed

and I sighed rolling my eyes

Next to me was fatness

she repeated my plight

with a sassy sigh

*

I looked at her

She looked back at me

with those human eyes

and lightbulbs exploded in my head

She learned it from me all along

She was my dog anyway
