Standing still on sand
Feel the earth meeting my skin
Completes and soothes me
*
As the tide comes in
The water covers my toes
Refreshing my soul
*
As the wind approaches
Blowing gently through my hair
Invigorates me
*
Crouching over the wood
Piled high like a funeral pyre
Fire warming my heart

A very creative piece that encompasses all the elements. Well done. I see this has quickly moved into vocal shallow cuts. Glad it got the attention it deserves.
Beautiful expression of a day at the beach. Sorry I missed this one before.
This is great writing, as always, Paul. I love how the separate haikus blend together to tell a story. Wonderful job, my friend!
You never fail to keep me reading! Another great piece of work π€
Well written ππ―π
Fantastic job on this piece π
Well gosh, you created an entire atmosphere with these haikus. I love them, and I adore how they work together. Im so glad you shared this in your Deep Cuts! β€οΈ
I'm so glad to finally read this one! You expertly, seamlessly blended each element into this so it flows beautifully!
I really like this one! Especially the last part with the funeral pyre!
This is wonderful, Paul. Great job.
Very well done, Paul. You say so much with so few words.
This is about as peaceful of a read as it gets. I'm happy you mentioned it in the Deep Cuts piece. Its excellent Paul.
I love the final haiku with the funeral pyre analogy. It seems so apt, for the dwindling end of the day at the beach, and the meditative nature of a fire. I definitely was transported to the beach today with this quadri-haiku!
Excellent Paul π₯°
Yessss!! You captured the simple joy of just 'being' at the beach. I could feel it all. Really well done imagery :)
Wonderful haikus! They blended together so nicely and I felt the peace of the moment. :)
