Drinks At Night

A Poem

Tingle in the skin,

Happy in the night for once.

The ocean in a glass warms the heart,

And unleashes the mind,

Thankfully.

Take more sups,

And indulge in your history,

Of drunks and thinkers,

And everyone just as unhappy;

You are in good company.

Rub the fuzz,

And feel the hairs of the soul,

And you will live there and then,

Without needing the anxiety,

To fight it's way in.

I am the love of liquid,

Damned and hurt and revolted,

But bought all the same;

What difference does it make?

What difference?

You wouldn't dare say that,

Not if you had things at stake.

Not love,

Not art,

Not a once off life.

I hope,

For your sake,

You drink more,

Than you can get up,

And leave us alone,

For your stupid dreams.
