Distraction—with a diminishing return (thanks, Dharrsheena!)

Is traction something this little diversion will gain? (Dear God, let’s hope not!)

Straction sounds like subtraction—yet here I am, adding on

Traction is what I need to stretch before I dive into this

Raction pinion steering for the car—wait, that’s not right

Action—did someone say, “Cut!”

Ction!—(bless you)

Ti on top of a root chord makes it shimmer (or should I have used “Ti on a rainy afternoon is nice, even on this side of the pond”? I’ll let you decide.)

I, on the other hand, never learned to like coffee (except in ice cream)

On a slightly different subject—wait, what was I saying?

N that’s all, folks, for this day's distraction!

    very interesting, loved it!

  • This was a fun and clever entry in the Acrostic Challenge, Randy, and a very deserving Top Story selection. Well done! (BTW, where in Kansas did you serve? 'I'm an old Kansas man myself', to borrow a line from The Wizard.)

  • What a fun and ingenious play on words and characters. Very visual and with great rhythm! Well done Randy and good luck🤞

  • Amazing 💖✨📝 Randy❗❗❗❗ Congratulations on your Top Story🎉

Oh, I loved this one! Nothing better than a good stretch (or massaging) of a few words here and there to get where you're going. This was fantastic, clever fun. Congratulations on Top Story :)

It’s like the kid of stream of consciousness we have while writing, but getting it into this format must have been a challenge! Well done and congrats on the TS!

Absolutely ingenious Randy! What an experience to have, reading the way that your mind turned this over from all different angles. Well done on the top story but what you did with this creatively is far beyond that accolade. Woot-WOOT Randy!!!

Yes!!! Congrats on the TS! 😁

  • Whoaaaa! Randyyyy! I'm speechless at your creation here! Now this is brilliance in its finest form! Diminishing Acrostic where the first letter diminishes every line so it matches the letter for the Acrostic. It's like a genius mathematical formula. And you made it work so well! Such clever execution! Excellent work! I'm a coffee addict but I only like drinking it. That too with creamer only, no sugar. But if it's cold coffee, then with creamer and sugar. I don't like coffee flavoured anything like ice cream, cake, cookies, etc. I hope you win this challenge because this was bloody brilliant!
