Only an Hour Away

When you are lost and feel alone

and need a place to go.

Don’t hesitate,

Don’t pause or wait.

Join me at my chateaux.

Just pack your bags with things you’ll need;

the important bits and bobs.

Some things for fun.

You can’t go wrong.

We aren’t some rich ass snobs.

Getting here is quite a breeze;

you’ll be here in the hour.

Start west of the park,

but not during dark.

Monsters sometimes prowl.

Facing east, just a few short streets,

two alleys, an avenue;

Turn left on Grand Island

Then right on Mink Highland.

Continue through Xanadu.

Around this point keep sharp, stay quick,

watch for angry geese;

One’s a biter,

One’s a fighter.

Both are quite obese.

Turn left, turn left, turn left, turn left,

turn left, and then repeat.

You’re almost there,

don’t despair.

The journey’s near complete.

Now cross a bridge and climb some stairs;

I hope you brought good shoes.

You’ll take a small hike,

and rent a road bike.

Enjoy the epic views.

Follow the moon or the sound of the crickets,

maybe the sound of your heart.

I’m always right there,

in the sounds in the air.

We’ll never truly part.

And now you’ve arrived, now you are here.

And looking mighty nice.

I think you forgot,

what you should’ve brought.

Your assignment was the ice.
