couch potatoes huddled and bundled tight

Another Sunday evening finds us at home

the cat purrs and the moonlight peeps in through the curtains

as the fire pops and cracks, filling the room with warmth

as the world begins to fall asleep

Another Sunday evening finds us at home

cuddling close together

couch potatoes huddled and bundled tight

wrapped in a fuzzy blanket and covered in fur

You sip on red wine as a movie flickers on the screen

I belly laugh and the cat snores obnoxiously

Times like these feel as though there is no one else on Earth

but us,

our family

safe and sound and completely content

Moments like this remind me that nothing else,

no one else, matters

but you and me

and our snoring cat
