Color of words

Pigments on the wind

Color of words

Life itself is an artist's pallette of brilliant colors, and being an artist myself, my medium is words.

Phrases and quips that send sunny yellow smiles to the scarlet ribbon of your lips.

The orange hues of happy thoughts breeding positivity with every verb and pronoun. It's a rainbow of inspiration.

When I speak of truth, the air is thickly turquoise, with the blues running deeper the deeper the truth,

Searching and asking for proof which is often aloof.

When speaking of love, the air around your ears like a ruby vibrates rosy patterns in your brain. Closing your eyes, you try to absorb all that they contain. Lifting your smile to heaven as the memories remain.

Logical words bring in the earth tones, of mahogany, deep browns and reddish grays and greens.

Solid themes of sincerity, and schemes to take on life's severity

While gaining clarity in a foggy landscape.

Humor, and laughter bring the vivid colors of the entire pallette. All shine

Equally as bright in the laughter that ensues, the reds, the greens, the blues

All there for us to pick and choose.

That feeling I hope I never lose.

Sad sentiments are obscure grays and

Midnight black. The colors attack our sensibilities, causing them to crack under the wanton weight of grief.

A myriad of vibrant hues pour through the brushes of my lips,

I couldn't be more satisfied with what they create. They have spun yarns impossible to unravel, but I still travel

On this colorful path of mine laying

Down pigmented bricks in my wake .
