Behold The Time Travelers

Alas, the time travelers that we knew so well,

their feet stuck in the imaginations of yesteryear.

For time is where their minds forever dwell,

their eyes always flooded and filled with a tear.

Rememberances of simple times gone past

It is the curse of the time traveler as they look back through the ages,

remembering what was once good and before they got old.

Wishing now they had committed such things to memory like pages,

then filled them with stories that deserve to be told.

Yet the time traveler should never have looked back to yesterday

as life unfolded unexpectedly wrong.

Wasting time on a past over which they have no say

that revisits them regularly with every classic song.

Time travelers should live in the here and the now,

discovering their passions along the road to the future.

Wasting time traveling back brings just pain so loud,

and they remember of times they weren't so mature.

Before the time traveler knows it there's more in the past than in front

and a massive fear lies before them.

A life they've lived and they've taken the brunt

of all the challenges life handed to 'em.

One day will come for the time-traveling man

and there is little man can do to prevent its' arrival.

Again they'll look back wondering what was the plan

before the end comes to visit saying it's your time pal.

The time travelers lesson is one of ease,

focus on the future, and not be weighed down by the past.

In the time of the end, the travelers will say please,
