Be Addicted
By all means
be addicted
but be addicted
not to the terrible
or to the deplorable
but to the adorable.
Be addicted to
the beauty of your child's laughter
or the great things they do
thereafter.
Be addicted to
the tremendous amount of stars
in that nighttime sky
making you want to fly
just to see how small you are.
Be addicted to
helping people
it doesn't matter what medium
it doesn't matter what space
realize your life has no premium
run with joy that race.
Be addicted to
(what else?)
making the world a better place
let the bad addiction
be gone
from your world make it totally erase.
