Badassery is passionately

And unapologetically,

You.

Despite the quips and the,

Sarcastic digs.

The no show friends

There –

when you conform

Gone-

When you don’t perform.

Badassery is as badassery does.

Kind when all around-

Cruelty reigns supreme.

Listens to hear,

The words,

Doesn't wait for a segue to speak.

Knows the worth of silence.

Badassery is no accessory

To a crime it didn’t commit.

Badassers know who they are,

And don’t care to dawdle

In the whims of the masses,

Badasseray is a mastery

A masterpiece-

Of human dimension

Defying convention.

It isn’t often, Stockton

That I feel the urge to scrawl a ,

Free verse for a badass

Of literary works.

But here’s a ruleless offering

To end my Villanelle suffering.
