Autumn Blues

Holding on

By Jessica TaylorPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

I wonder but not wander

Seeking something that may never be;

I sit under the falling leaves and setting sun

Wanting so much to be where you are.

I see the times changing and I ponder

Wishing you would look deep to see me;

Instead of looking at me and wanting to run

Longing ever to be the only moon to your star.

I miss the way we were;

Once there was so much more;

Once not to long ago there was laughter and light

We were so much in love not long ago.

This love seemed on fire and you seemed so sure;

Now you hardly speak coming through the door;

I miss those long amazing nights

And I miss you even more.

About the Creator

Jessica Taylor

My deepest desire is to be able to help people; since I am too shy to be a professional speaker I decided that writing is my next best option. However, I do love the feel of the pen upon the page and the clicking of my keys on my keyboard.
