An Enigma She is, An Enigma She Becomes

An enigma she is, an enigma she becomes

Paiting by Prince Andre Faubert

An enigma she is, an enigma she becomes.

Her shadow overcomes me as I try to look beyond.

As I stand frozen in the dark hallway,

She looks at me from above.

--

She is what I flee from, and what I always find.

My last true sip of a sigh,

And when a move a step forward she’ll move one back.

--

She is the sight of life that causes my death,

and the sight of unknown that causes my life.

A forest of green she is,

And one that creeps from behind.

--

She is the shadow of my death,

her face reminds me of the passing of time,

standing between me and the moon,

until I arrive at my time.
