Loving from a distance

Every time I close my eyes, I imagine a world where we would collide

Where every promise made, can be kept

Where every word can be heard

Where every smile can be seen

But each night, I stare into the moonlit sky

My thoughts become a fog that tarnishes every smile I wear

It all feels so impossible without you here

I cry for each missed movie and dinner

I cry for each missed hug and kiss

I cry for each mile and day, That separates

I know I'll never speak these truths

You'll never really know, and that feels so unfair

Watching you live your life blissfully unaware

sad poetry
