A MOMENT

Goodbye, Father...

Grief...

If I could grasp a moment,

I would whisper in your ear

All the days, you were alive,

I missed you being near

.

Now, you soar the heavens,

While conversing with the stars

I pray, before the rising sun,

This darkened time will pass

.

If, I lingered in one moment,

I would linger, in your love

The love that found me bleeding,

Turned my face, to Him above

.

If I had, just one more moment,

I would thank you for my life,

I would wallow, in your wisdom,

Among your honesty and pride

.

I cherished those last moments,

I spent praying at your side

Left weeping, for the best of men,

Lost in moments, of goodbye...

.
