If you are not satisfied with how you are sleeping, look into different ways to improve your sleep habits. Develop a routine that works best for you. For example, if you get 6–8 hours of sleep each night, try reading some poetry at bedtime. As you read the poetry, your mind will be preoccupied, and alertness will decrease. Try drawing or listening to music while you read at bedtime. Reading can sometimes stimulate an alert mind which impedes sleep.
