Trust Me, You Are Not Confused, and You Already Know What You Want

Why is it that we don’t know what we want?

We say we are confused, and sure we all get somewhat confused every now and then.

But why are we so confused?

Have you ever asked yourself what is the source of your confusion?

There can be different sources, such as fear, shame, and lack of self-connection — just to name a few.

I say this in the most neutral way, just stating a fact, without any judgment whatsoever, because you know what? We all feel fear, shame, and so many other emotions.

To illustrate better, here are a few examples of what I mean.

In fear of failure or being laughed at, we hide from the responsibility and the life changes required for going after what we want.

In shame, we don’t want to acknowledge what we want for ourselves. We feel embarrassed, and we judge and downplay ourselves. We say what we want is silly, or simply wrong.

In lack of self-connection, we can’t see what is inside of us.

I truly believe we all already know what we want. What you want is not up in the sky, somewhere. It is inside of you right now, as a vision, a feeling, an idea. A seed.

However, our insecurities and our fears hide what we want from our field of awareness. And so we lack clarity. We cannot see ourselves. We cannot accept ourselves.

Confusion is not a thing of its own.

It is a side effect of emotional reactions such as fear, shame, and disconnection. Something you are facing within, but that you don’t want to deal with.

If you are embarrassed by what you want, or if your mind deems what your heart wants wrong or cannot make sense of it, chances are your mind and your fears are fighting against your own heart. Say you are in a stable relationship for a decade, but it is no good, it pains you to stay there — but you are used to it, and the idea of putting yourself out there is scary, what if you die alone? If you stay you choose convenience, you choose safety, you choose based on fear.

Truth is, confusion is a protection cloak we use to not have to deal with our emotional baggage. It is such a good cloak that we ourselves don’t know what w are hiding from ourselves!

And so we say we are “confused”. The end. BS.

The problem is, as long as we say we are confused, we stay right there, we don’t move forward, we get stuck, and we don’t unfold our potential or expand our lives.

Because confusion is a side effect, remember? It’s not the real thing.

Do you dare to look at why you are confused?

The real cause, the source of your confusion? What is the real blockage to be dissolved?

It is by outgrowing these blockages that you get to bring more of what you want and your dream life into your reality.

Knowing what you want allows you to expand your reality, and unfold your potential. Because you know what?

Without clarity, how can you possibly know what direction to take, where to channel your energy, and what to create?

Many people think clarity is a mental quality, but deep clarity takes quite a pinch of self-connection, self-acceptance, and courage. The truth is not only flowers and rainbows but also seeing the stains that need to be clear so that those flowers and rainbows shine brighter.

Still, we all have so much unlimited potential. As long as we don’t dare to look at what lies within us, what we want, and go beyond our confusion, our unlimited potential stays at that: unrealized potential.

To realize our potential means to unfold our lives, to bring more of us into the world, to express more, to be more, and to live more. To not hold ourselves back.

What you want is already inside of you, waiting for you to unfold it, waiting for you to bring more of yourself into your life.
