To The Little You

Dear Little You,

God's not through with you yet.

There's still so much in front of you.

Don't be scared when bad things happen.

Lean into those that love you and remember there's ALWAYS someone that does!

You always have God, and you always have YOU!

Look at the flowers. See how pretty they are? Listen to birds. Do you hear how beautifully they sing? Feel the wind on your skin. You don't see where it's coming from, yet you know it's there.

Let the flowers remind you of your uniqueness: you may not be a sunflower, but you're a rose. Roses remind us of what love is.

You may not be able to sing like the birds, but you have a melody about you that other people are inspired by, just by hearing your story.

When you feel that wind on your skin, it means you are alive and here for a reason.

Life doesn't stop just because people are mean to you.

If those people don't like you, that's their problem, and none of your business!

Keep your head up. Keep moving forward. Keep knowing you're a gift from God to this world.

Your smile, your hair, your skin tone, your personality, it's unlike anyone else's on this planet.

No one walking on Earth is exactly like you, and that is your secret SUPERPOWER!!

Enjoy your youth.

One day, the schoolwork will turn into working for someone or even working for yourself. One day, the naptime will be something few and far in between. Even given those facts, remember this:

Don't let the dreams you have right now die! God gave you your creativity for a reason. God wanted you to make them into reality for a reason. So, when you get older, remember the things that bring you joy.

You like to draw? Be an artist.

You like to dance? Teach others to do the same.

You enjoy telling stories? Write.

Become an inspirational speaker. Become someone that changes the world. In doing so, remember, to change your own world in the process.

You are the most important person in your life after God.

That's not selfish, that's self-love.

Learn to take care of your mind, body and soul. No can do that for you.

Time is precious.

Spend your time with the people that love you, uplift you and give you good advice.

Learn the difference between someone that likes you and someone that values you.

Learn the difference between someone that loves you for convenience and someone that loves you regardless of what you go through.

Supporting someone doesn't mean losing who you are. You have value too. You're important too. If you don't consistently fill your cup, fill your mind and feed your soul with positive things, other spirits (not from God) will try to make you believe differently.

Define yourself based on what God says about you and not people.

People will always have opinions. You don't always have to listen to them.

Ask yourself: Who am I? What do I want to be? Why should I let people stop me from being everything God says I am?

If something makes you happy, and it's not hurting anybody, then do it!

The last and most important thing I want you to remember is this:

Your life is going to go by so very fast. Enjoy each moment for what it is and don't worry too much about tomorrow. Don't dwell so much on what happened yesterday. Life is as beautiful as you make it in this moment.
