Good morning, Vocal Media! Today marks the beginning of my year-long project, The Monday Morning Huddle.

Unlike the huddle often affiliated with sports and the work front, this huddle is a platform pick me up that draws on spiritual inclinations found in nature. Personal photography sets the pace for a short read reflecting on the picture's topic while offering spiritually themed perspectives to kick off a new week.

Uplifting words to remind, you, the reader, that despite the demands of everyday physical living, you are a unique spirit living in bodily form.

Honor thy spirit and live a more meaningful life- that is the point of my series, a virtual gift, with love, from little ol' me to you.

Day 1: January Wolf Full Moon 🌝 🐺

Unlike typical movie references, there is no hardcore evidence that wolves howl at the full moon. Instead, the January-aligned ideology derives from the notion that wolves are more likely to be heard howling this month.

A wolf howl is their way of communicating. From aggressively warding off rival packs from their territory to the affectionate howl vocalized to one's family, this amazing animal can be heard up to ten miles in polar climates.

Also known as Ice Moon or Old Moon, Wolf Full Moon rises in the sky tonight, January 13, 2025.

My photograph was taken last evening as I typically celebrate the full moon the day before until the day after her majestic arrival.

As opposed to other articles defining typical aspects of this moon phase, I offer personal perspectives combining firsthand photography accounts with spiritual insights to kick off the new week.

Post Holiday Blues, Anyone? πŸ€”

Christmas cheer came and went and now the new year is here. This is not easy for everyone to digest. January's "New Year, New Goals" theme causes some people anxiety and a whole lot of needless pressure. Yes, yes, in with the new and out with the old- but what's the rush?

Transitioning from the love of home and haven, holiday work breaks, and relaxation to back to work, deadlines, and long office hours,( not to mention the politics), makes for restless folks who may not cope well with the readjustment, shall I say, to rat race living.

One cool thing about Wolf Full Moon 2025 is that it rises under the sign of Cancer.

Cancer's vibrations fine-tune the love of family, heart, and home. Full moons are notorious for heightening emotions; Cancer's sensitive, caring nature escalates this sensation, sending an important message:

SLOW IT DOWN

My Mum and two of my daughters were born under the sign of Cancer. Like its animal representative, the crab, they all are adept at existing in both the emotional and material realms. Think: hard shell, tough to crack, but deeply attuned to their emotions. πŸ¦€

Insight:

Continue the holiday cheer post-Christmas. Carry on with the love for haven. Proceed with the celebratory vibes, including family, friends, and loved ones.

How?

Make a pact to remain connected to your pack. 😊

Aha- a play on words, but wholehearted serious advice: vow not to let the holiday cheer wane and wander just because the calendar has changed.

Make efforts and allow for play dates, get-togethers, and the all-essential "Me-time."

Like the commercial for Indeed says ( the one with the little girl holding her father's hand)

"Sunday that's my me-time. I am not willing to give that up."

You should be like that little girl.

Why?

Your spirit needs to rest, laugh, and play.

The Halo Effect πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡

Describes the ring often seen around the moon caused by the refraction of moonlight from ice crystals in the upper atmosphere. It's a common event, one I thoroughly enjoyed last evening.

Often foretelling rain, a lunar halo is said to also be a message of good luck or things to come from the spiritual realm.

Think: enlightenment, protection, peace, and happiness

What a beautiful compliment to the Wolf Full Moon and an additional nudge to look after one's well-being!

Cross-culturally, the lunar halo speaks of several meanings, including divine intervention. I chose to adopt this interpretation based on last night's photo session as I captured each evolving frame with a child's eye joy.

Mantra: πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Today, I embody Wolf Full Moon energy in Cancer. While work-related goals are important, these things take time. I gift myself the joy of slowing down, affording essential me-time, which I will not give up, I make a pact to connect (or reconnect) with my pack and delve into my deepest emotions, taking care of heart and haven. A halo effect promises good things to come.

How did this whole huddle thing get started?

It began here in my entry into Vocal Media's New Year, New Projects ChallengeπŸ‘‡

Thank you for reading! I look forward to reading positive comments and sincerely hope my Monday Morning Huddle will bring joy and solace to anyone needing a little spiritual pick me up!
