Our ability to understand life, living, and our environment is power for some and a gift for others. That ability grant some of us the power to live the life we want and not the one Fate and Destiny dish out for us. We get more control of our lives too. Life has weird ways of forcing us to see ourselves in others, thus teaching us valuable lessons. For us to see ourselves outside of our bodies, our awareness must be turned up, way up.

I was watching the hilarious Sitcom Mom. Bonnie Plunkett, played by Allison Janney. She is nuts but a lot of fun. She was watching a video of her husband, Adam Janikowski, played by William Fichtner, before the accident, which put him in a wheelchair. Many beautiful women surround him with a look of want in their eyes. He played an engineer and a retired NASA astronaut. While in therapy, because he wasn’t opening up to her or speaking about the accident, it came out that she believed he wouldn’t give her a second glance if he could walk. That negative thought gained roots and drilled deep within her soul, growing, thus giving her the power to self-destruct. Her negative and insecure thinking created a problem in their marriage. Some of us hold on to negativity so long and so tight it grants us the power to self-destruct, destroying the best part of our lives.

Why do some people allow insecurity to threaten the love they have?

He said something that got me thinking when her husband asked her, “when you were an alcoholic, would you have married me?”

She paused, jumping back into her past life of drugs and alcohol. He read her emotions from her facial expressions, “No, I would think that I wasn’t good enough for you,” was her response.

“Then maybe we found each other at the perfect time,” Adam said.

Traumatic life tragedies and experiences often possess uniquely powerful ways of humbling some survivors. It contains the power to affect us positively and negatively.

Positive change will transform, humble, strengthen, and bring joy and a deeper understanding of life, love, and living. It forces us to be more aware of the things going on in our lives while adding hope, patience, forgiveness, and many more good qualities giving us a reason to be better human beings.

It softens the heart making us kinder. Some can love unconditionally and will get it back. Showing gratitude for life opens the door to more love and healing.

Life sometimes brings some of us together with love at the right moment when we survive

Positivity pays us back when life often traumatizes us. If we are able to see our mistakes as lessons and learn and grow from what life is trying to teach us, we will be able to maintain strength from our positive outlook on life and living. When we maintain positive thoughts and views on life, how we communicate with others and solve the problems that life throws our way, then life will reward us. Positive thinking opens the door to forgiveness and healing, something negativity forbids.

Negativity punishes us as we hold on to the resentment that disables us in every way. Our punishment will never stop until we find something good in the agony and pain life shares. By releasing the negative vibe or energy, then positivity will enter like a light leading you out of the darkness.

Then the moment we start living and be grateful for surviving, happiness, contentment, and satisfaction find us.

Gratitude + Satisfaction= True Happiness no matter your condition.
