My journey to earning a income online

Inflation is at an all-time high. It seems like everyone is struggling to keep up with things. No matter your income level. Like so many people, I began to look at ways I could make an income online. I no longer wanted to be away from my child, just so that I could still feel like I was struggling to get by. I wanted to be able to breath and be home with my family. So I went on a journey to make an income from home. So come with me on the journey of what I have learned so far.

Selling items online

Selling items online is a great way to make some extra money. There are two ways that you could do it.

One, look around the house. We all have items that we don't need anymore, or forgot about. Really look at the stuff that you have, and get rid of anything that you don't use or need. For sure, you can find at least 5 things very easily.

Two, is to look at thrift stores. You would be surprised at what you can find that can be worth something. Now you have to do your homework on the cost of things. So to start out with, it may take some work. Though, you can find some real gems if you spend a little bit of time on it.

When you find the things you want to sell, there are a few ways that you can do it. Easy way to do that is to post of Facebook Marketplace and Kijiji. Now if you have something that is easy to mail, like clothes or book, then you can post on both eBay and poshmark.

There are also local groups you can join to put a post of as well. Such as resell groups and mom groups in your area. By doing a quick search on Facebook, you can see local groups in your area where you can post anything you want to sell.

Sell things using your skills

No matter what your skills are, there is a way to use your skills to make money. If you are a good baker, then you can sell your baked goods. If you are a good artist, then maybe you can start to sell your paintings. No matter what your skills and passions are, there is always a way to make money.

If you don't know where to start selling, Facebook groups are a great way to get your name out there. Doing your first few sales will be the hardest to get. But once you do, then you will be surprised how much word of mouth can help. If it is something you are passionate about and love doing, then it can be a great side income.

Cashback Apps and points

If you go shopping, then cashback apps and points are a great and easy way to save on things you would buy anyway.

Eclipsa, is a cashback app that gives you money back on normal things. Now you won't get a lot back, but it is normal stuff such as apples, eggs and bread.

Checkout 51, is another cashback app. This gives you money back on things, but it is more brand name things. If you stack them with sales, then you can quickly save a lot of money. Now you do have to buy certain things, but it can add up quickly.

Points are also a great way to save on things. There are two big point programs out there depending on where you shop. PC Optium for places like No frills, Real Canadian superstore and Shoppers drug mart. Then Scene which can be used at places like Freshco. Points are a great and easy way to get money back.

Be a delivery driver

I know it isn't always the most popular answer. However, it's a great way to make an income on your own terms. If you are a stay-at-home mom, and want to make a little something extra. Then you can do it when your kids are at school. If you don't have kids, then you can do it outside of your 9-5. There are even people that do it as their main income.

Surveys

A lot of people have a bad outlook about surveys. Most people think that it is a waste of time and that you don't make a lot of money. When I started doing them, I wasn't at all sure what I was going to get. But I was surprised on how easy that it was. It's a great side income to do on your free time. If you scroll on your phone at night, then you could use some of that time to do make some money. Now the thing is that you have to do consistently. To get the best results, you really need to do every day. Not a lot every day, but every day. That will give you the best results to get the higher paying survey's. There are a lot of survey sites out there, some are better than others.

Swagbucks, is a great app to make some side income. They have suvey's you can do. They also have games where you can make some income from. You download the game, a lot of them have certain things you need to do, such as reach a certain point level. But then you can make a lot of money that way. Click the link to check it out.

Rewardia, is a great site that has a lot of survey's. They really have a lot of options. Now you really need to do it most days in order to get the higher paying ones. They work on a point system. You then redeem your points for a payout.

Survey Junkie, is another great site. They work in dollar points instead of points.

I am still on the journey to figuring it out. So this really is a first in a series for me. But you can make some extra income by doing a little bit of research on what works best for you.
