Home: The Place You Discover Everything You Are
I've spent my entire life in the slow-moving pace of a small town. The countryside, though undoubtedly beautiful, comes with many frustrations for a young heart like mine. In a world as small as Cobleskill, you realize that there is so much beyond the invisible walls that we call home.

De Profundis; A Visual & Poetic Journey
My empire was growing stronger by the day. I had barricaded myself up in my mind. I had mastered my body and was running a tight regimen of activities to maintain the equilibrium. I had erected a solid wall between myself and the outside world. I had perfected the mask to wear to be as invisible as possible. One thing became apparent, it was now very lonely in here. A whisper would float in now and then trying to strike up a conversation and I would brush it away, pretend it wasn’t real. Eventually, though, just like the building of any relationship I began to interact. This impression, this whisper, this presence was so still and gentle that it was able to slip into my fortress of evil and nothing I could do could keep it out. It was like a fog, a mist, a vapour. It was everywhere and nowhere all at once. It wasn’t pushy or invasive. It just was. It sat in the corner observing me, never judging. Eventually I grew curious and even fond of it. I began to divulge all my secrets and wishes and dreams. It seemed to know them anyway and it felt safe and right and ok. This was my secret. This was my one source of love and hope in a cold, dark red flaring inflamed body of hate. We certainly didn’t agree on everything. I had developed a constant narrative of how shitty I was and how great I was and how unfair everything was….I would dissect and tear apart every inch of myself molecule by molecule on a daily basis telling every cell how much I detested its very existence. My friend would just hover there light a nightlight not interjecting or saying a word, just there. It was waiting, but not impatiently.

The Art of Self Sabotage
"I freaking did it again!" I screamed at myself after realizing I had fallen back into that pattern. Not just with this particular thing, but with everything. I've grown extremely apathetic and, for me, that's detrimental. I'm a college student, and I had a paper due yesterday. I told myself 'Oh, let's just finish it tomorrow and take the 10% dock for turning it in late.' Yeah. Okay. It honestly was not hard to agree to that. Today, I told myself 'Screw it! Just turn in the pages you have and take the F.' Okay. Again, wasn't hard to agree to. Except about five minutes after I submitted what I had, I realized I had done it again. Self sabotage at its finest. Pretty much what I am best at.

Consistency & Commitment
Extracted from: Robert Cialdini – Influence. 6 Weapons of Influence. In a recent discussion with my son about the fundamental nature of stories, I made a patently wrong rash generalization. Nevertheless, I felt I needed to defend my argument and even gather further evidence and support to prove I was right (although, in hindsight, I was definitely wrong, just don’t tell him that!)

How to get charged up for your day
In my many years on this world, I have finally realized that having my daily me time, keeps me and everyone else sane. I know it may sound vain or selfish but trust me, it is not. Perhaps we all need to be vain. The only person who will need what you need to be happy is you. If you are happy with you or in your life, it is difficult to show true happiness for others. They do say happiness come from the inside. Also you can’t truly love others until you love yourself first. Unfortunately, it has taken me year to know what this really mean. Once I have realized this, I discovered how important it is to me and my life. As it should become an important part of you life too. This is the best way to ensure you have the energy to be there for family and friends. Without it is easy to get burnt out and then chaos can happen.

Why I Woke Up Happy This Morning
The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. This will always be true even after you and I are long gone. It will never stop happening that way unless some universal phenomenon occurs. Hopefully by then, we aren't around for that kind of chaos.

Endurance Mindset
Consistency with your physical training is a critical component. However, often overlooked is the preparation of your mindset - Our minds so often disrupt the physical side of things, adequately failing to optimise the use of our athletic ability, talent and hard work. All of us know that endurance athletes perform best with a relaxed, focused and calm state of mind. Leading to an optimal physiological state. All of us can develop our skills to become more complete ultra-runners. A good race is never a fluke, and every runner should believe wholeheartedly in the power of magical thinking. So much so, that the depth of your thinking, self-motivation and the vision matters greatly. that success is achievable no matter what.

Equilibrium
ALL lives matter. COEXISTENCE MATTERS ALL lives matter. Equilibrium, because we all count. We all matter. This means me, you, everyone else. What difference does the color of our skin tone make? How does it seperate the life of one, to the life of another? Even when I have my ups and downs at the end of the day, I am a peacemaker and this is my perspective. This is what I will say.
