Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all the problems in our lives disappeared? Unfortunately, that’s not how life works. But that doesn’t mean life is all gloomy and depressing, right? A Word About Our "Thirties."
Autumn winds have started to rattle loose from the already dead and fading leaves of the high maple trees. The pathways of hiking trails and sidewalks are littered with the golden brown glow of the fallen pine needles that outnumber the cars in the state. New England air is a strange thing for people outside of the region. In the early morning it's stiff and brittle and just cool enough to wake you up without having had any coffee. By mid-day the return of a familiar and comfortable summer heat has spread and people around you are taking off their sweaters and thin jackets as they embrace the stark contrast in weather. Then evening falls at earlier and earlier hours as the days pass. Walking in the moonlight, you can see the wet patches of remaining dew from the morning that didn't evaporate start to harden and grow. Among all of these things, you realize another summer has gone by which means soon, another year will pass.

Who's Not Going To Quit?
Most things in life come down to who can last the longest. Who simply doesn't quit. Not just in my world of CrossFit but in all aspects of life. The lessons we learn in the box usually have a deeper meaning than barbells and pull-ups and muscles. Think about it for a second.

Dealing with Change Do’s and Don’ts
People are pretty uncomfortable with change. Some, including myself have a habit of dealing with it by, not so much pretending it isn’t happening... but by ploughing on as if it has already happened. And it hasn’t happened... yet. This particular modus operandi has been my go to action to deal with any number of uncomfortable situations.

The stories you hear
When you are a child, your parents sit you on their knee and read you stories, with Dragons eggs, and Dinosaurs. Far away lands and true love. Being rescued by the prince, or going on a great adventure. Their were princess stories, and adventure tales.

Simple Joys
A video called, "how to have a better day!" Isn't that the content we all need on YouTube? Michelle Reed is a lovely YouTuber who makes relatable and uplifting videos about her life. For me, her channel has been a source of comfort lately. She posts videos about twice a week, and I always watch them basically right away when I see the notifications pop up. Her channel is pretty much the only one I actually pay attention to the notifications for.

The Power Of Creativity: Mark Rober
The late 21' st century has witnessed a technological gold rush of astonishing proportions: the headlong and strenuous haste to dominate the online world. This enterprise has proceeded so rapidly that in just a few years, the concept of 'website' has transferred from being a mere database of information, codified in basic HTML, to being a dynamic environment; fast and continuously evolving.

It's about time!
I love hearing the story of the elephant and the dog's pregnancy. You can see a dog give birth to six (6) puppies and three (3) months later the same dog can give birth to a dozen (12) puppies. On the other side, you have an elephant that gives birth to a baby elephant every 2 years. But on the other hand, a baby elephant has much more impact than a puppy. Indeed, when an elephant touches the earth, the earth trembles, and when it makes a sound from its trunk all the animals hear it.

In a world that has become completely bombarded with every type of self-help guru imaginable, it is difficult to know who is telling the truth, or at least speaking their truth. How do we know if their intentions are genuine or if someone is jumping on the mindfulness bandwagon just to make a buck? Selling a brand or a product to people who are seeking hope and inspiration, is a very lucrative industry, today more than ever. People want change, and they will look high and low for someone to give them guidance and a chance for a better tomorrow.

Happiness Has Left the Building
Three months are left in 2020. One thing I believe everyone can agree with is the fact that this year, 2020, has stolen a lot from everyone. With the novel coronavirus pandemic sweeping through the world, people have lost jobs, livelihoods, family, friends, family of friends, etc. Along with the extreme loss caused by the pandemic, there have also been the many losses and struggles that take place regularly; the losses and struggles that seem to be overshadowed by the pandemic, but they are still just as real and just as painful as they have ever been.

Comparing Apples to Athletes
I’m pretty sure I always will flinch to the sound of closing doors. And shiver to the touch of anybody I didn’t see behind me. Or even cower below someone’s mixed tone of voice. I am weak, I call it. But in reality, I am cautious. I check the backseat, the lock on the door, and my pockets 17 different times when I go to leave the house. It’s not OCD it’s anxiety. No, It’s my awareness. I look in every mirror when I leave the house to make sure I’m presentable to each and every one. Like judges on a runaway I ask permission to advance and some days they tell me “You made it'' and others it’s a brisk “Not today”. It’s not insecurity I swear, I am just prepared. Some days I leave the bed only to eat and tire myself out enough to get right back into it. People call it lazy days but I call it depression. But again it’s not, I am resting my body.

How to maintain positivity during difficulties:
Right now, the entire globe is affected by unexpected changes that have occurred due to this pandemic. The United States in particular has faced high mortality rates and rising unemployment. Most essential workers have an abundance of stress due to pressure and the risk of dealing with large amounts of people. Not to mention the shift happening with law enforcement and our government.
