Long-Term Vision In The Short-Term Moment
I said this on a podcast with Chris Cronin the other day and since then I've had a handful of people reach out to me saying that they really liked the saying "Long-term vision in the short-term moment". That's super cool for a couple of reasons. One, people are listening and engaging with the show, and two, people are taking something I said and using it to help make themselves better. Now, let's dive into this idea and what it means to me.

Tie a Knot in it and Keep Climbing
Tie a knot in it and keep climbing By Travis Ray Patton There was a person that went rock climbing alone. Their name or gender isn't important, but for the sake of simplicity we'll say "Kim". The rock formation Kim had in mind was an expressively treacherous and rugged one. It was filled with ridged edges and deep unexpected curves that would make even the most experienced climber become wary, and take every precaution necessary climbing it.

You Are Not Alone
You look around and you notice you are not where you had thought you would have been let alone the person you have become. Things that use to make sense no longer do and those who once understood you now look at you like your going to break or blow up any minute. They see you as this fragile being and the irony is that you have never felt stronger. Feeling like for once in your life you know exactly who your are, although you struggle with what you want and what your purpose is you know that whatever it may be is greater than this life. It took a lot of life lessons to get to be the person you are today, a lot of pain, lost, and failure. You may not be where you want to be but at least you are not where you used to be, broken and afraid. There will be times when you will want to give up because that seems so much easier, but I promise in those times if you just keep pushing forward you will not regret it.

WOULD YOU STILL REPEAT THIS MISTAKE?
The story begins here. It was a hot day and the sun was shining with full splendor while the people were busy in their professions and everything was going on as usual. It was his routine to nurture the talent of toddlers with his teaching skills and he was using his utmost tactics to create innovation in the innocent minds of children. Roles we play
Have you really took the time to think about the role you play in your life? Most people just go with the flow of society and not question anything. That time is over it is time to question everything and not stop until you get an answer of truth. Know you are the performer of your own show daily, you are always being watched and people will resonate with you, for you are an example of what to be or become. The role of a mother is not just for her children to learn how to become, but it is also a position for others who are preparing for motherhood. The role of a father is what? It is an example of a masculine figure or energy, that is also an example of how to present one self of authority and business. Children will subconsciously replicate the same teaching's from their parents, and if it is not positive they will struggle to retrain their subconscious. As a person being human you must know how you are affecting those around you, always know the role you are deciding to play does have a purpose.

My Story
I am a very shy, introverted person by nature. I love and admire alternative looking people. In this I include those who have piercings, tattoos, dyed hair, shaved heads, and unique clothing styles. My desire to change my own style weighed heavily on my mind for years.

Do Better
Maybe you slept in. Maybe you skipped your workout. Maybe you ordered the burger instead of the salad. The bottom line is you messed up and now you're feeling guilty about it. Well, what're you going to do there Einstein build a time machine and travel back and fix your mistakes? As dope as that would be it is also highly unlikely and unrealistic. So what're you actually going to do mope around and feel sorry for yourself? If we're being completely honest that is what most of us are going to do after making a mistake. Trust me. Been there, done that. Countless times nonetheless. But today I'm here to tell you that feeling sorry for yourself is a total waste of time and energy and will actually set you back in achieving your goals.

Multi-Passionate Self-Love
I always claimed to be a “jack of all trades, master of none” … on my good days, I was a little proud of this, but most days it was said with a hint of shame behind the words. I struggled for years believing I was inadequate compared to my friends -- they all seemed to have a thing, a specialty, a niche. I admired a lot of their interests, but I truly believed I couldn’t love the same things as any them. I had a friend who danced, a friend who learned sign language, a few friends who read -- I know, it seems stupid to think "My friends like books, so I can't like books." ... even though I loved reading and read so much as a child. But this is how I truly felt as a teenager! I didn't want to step on anyone's toes -- or worse, try to become knowledgable about something but come across as a fool because my friend was the "expert".
