DON'T Prove Them Wrong. Prove Yourself RIGHT
My dad is a very wise man. He's taught me , in essence, everything I know about discipline and pursuing success. Something that really made an impact on me was a comment he made just recently. It was something I felt worth sharing, because it was in response to a mindset so common among those of us pursuing our goals. This applies to any challenge you may face in life, anything you set out to achieve. It targets the cornerstone of a lot of motivational material out there.

How to H@ck Your Brain to Achieve Your Goals.
The wonderful fact is that your brain is actually designed to help you. Everybody’s brain has what’s called the “Reticular Activating System”. And it’s this system that you can ‘hack’ to help you achieve your goals even faster.

In Helping Others, You Help Yourself
What is it that you truly want in life? What is it that you truly desire that will bring you great happiness, satisfaction, fulfillment, and joy? These two questions should be relatively easy to answer, as undoubtedly, we would have many such rewards and riches swirling through our minds, that we would dearly love as part of our life. Now, what about your neighbor though, what is this that they truly desire to have as part of their future? What about your friends? What about your workmates? What about other members of your extended family? What about even your partner? Do we actually know, or even care for that matter, about what others are trying to achieve in their own life? It's easy to become infatuated in, and desperate about, trying to achieve our own goals, that we quite often forget about those around us. After all, we have our own life to live, and we want to ensure that we live that in happiness, satisfaction, and success. Let's be honest here though, most of us live a life of pure selfishness and greed. Sure we may help out others from time to time, acting upon pleas and requests for urgent help, but realistically, unless we are asked to help, or a natural disaster occurs and we feel obliged to help, we normally don't. Why? Because we are too invested in our own interests. Now let's get one thing straight here, there is no issue with striving to achieve our goals, or trying to create a future filled with success, happiness, and prosperity, for ourselves. We are all on borrowed time, and the time we spend alive, we want to ensure we are happy and satisfied. We don't get a second shot in life, so we need to make sure that we are utilizing our time effectively, in order to create a life by our own design. The problem is though, we go totally the wrong way about it.

Imagination to Reality
When people say you can't use your imagination, what they really mean is that you can't think of it. It is true that imagination plays an important part in the process of creating art and other visual works. But if imagination is used to the point that it gets in the way of doing the work, then it is not being used. In other words, imagination is like a muscle. If you do not use it, then you cannot produce the results you are seeking.

Late Night Writer
In the silence of the night, under the cover of darkness, in the quiet that only belongs to the late hours, is when I do my best work. With the low hum of a space heater and the entrancing sounds of my favorite music, as my background noise, I settle into my chair and begin. My hope is to make this one just a little better than the last. Evoke a few more emotions and create something to make every reader ‘feel’ the story. I have one big fan and honestly, I never want to disappoint him. I know the stories touch everyone in a very different way. As I think they should. Some may give you the hope you have been searching for, while others are almost too relatable. My intent is to have you, the reader, not only read the words but feel them also. Feel them in your heart, visualize them in your mind, hear the words….BE the words. Put yourself into the story and hopefully gain something by the end of it. Whether it be strength or hope, happiness or love. Even if it is just a story that you can attach yourself to, be one with the story. Find something useful that will help on this journey called life.

The Broke College Grad Diaries - Part 4
Lately I’ve likened myself to the fall trees that surround my apartment. In the past couple of months, I’ve lost my leaves and now I’m bare, showing people my true self – trying to at least. As you can imagine, making yourself vulnerable can be kind of uncomfortable and scary. But what I’ve learned, and hope to teach you, is that you should seek that uncomfortable feeling, not run away from it.

How do I become happier?
Looking around the world today one may think that there is little or no reason to be happy. And you may be tempted to agree. The dismal thought of what is happening at the moment, the uncertainty of what life would become afterwards and the precariousness of the aftermath to our lifestyle all add up to the edginess, anxiety and unhappiness a lot of people may be feeling.

How to improve your relationships?
Work on yourself. Work so hard and so much, that you are too busy to be seeking out validation. Is not an easy road, in fact is the hardest road but it’s 100% worth it. There is no way I can explain this to you in just one sentence however everything evolves around the idea that we are all fucked up, and that there is no one person that has it all figured out, actually it’s the expectancy of some future accomplishment that keeps us motivated and energetic. If you want to be attractive to someone it’s important that you are attractive to yourself first. I know all this might sound to you like a cliché, but it’s not. I had a conversation with my mum the other day(she is at a low point in her life), and while I was trying to convince her why changing some of her habits would be highly beneficial to her, she was able to bring endless reasons why she doesn’t need a change in her life right now. She was blaming people in her life for how she feels, without for a second considering that might be her… that maybe she is the one that can take the responsibility and bring about a different outcome. It’s interesting how we are able to go to great ends in order to avoid the responsibility for our own destiny. Things don’t happen overnight, and most likely will never happen 100% our way, but we really do have to take responsibility for ourselves and our actions. We are all experts in someone else’s life, but we don’t know what to do with ours, is not like life comes with a manual of instructions and there is only one way to do things and nothing is certain. You can’t get to comfortable with pretty much everything in your life because nothing lasts forever. You don’t last forever! You cannot get it wrong if you never settle and always seek ways to improve yourself a little, and every time your attention drifts on others, bring it back to you. You don’t have to make big changes, it can be as small as drinking a glass of water on the empty stomach in morning, just something to ground you and to remind you that when you say you are going to do something, you do it! And the sum of all these little changes are going to improve your life in ways that you never imagine possible for you. It’s consistency and perseverance what we need to harvest in order to put up with big challenges in our lives. Nevertheless, is important that we are compassionate with ourselves; what life is that, if we cannot forgive ourselves and learn from it? No need to hold on to grudges, life is to short. As you are able to love yourself, you should be able to love the other. If you want to be attractive to someone, make yourself lovable by closing the gap between who you want to be and who you are.

Can You Spare Some Change?
Timing Is Everything We learn something new every second of the day, literally. We don't think the said things to be of importance, so they're not regarded as such. The greatest thing we learn, or should I say should, is no second can come before it's time. In other words, we should live each second as if it were our last. Whatever we're doing, it should be done as if it were the greatest thing we've ever thought about doing. This is what change is all about, self-improvement. The type of self-improvement that'll become contagious, I'm talking about that'll produce worldwide change. But like with everything, change begins within the process of our thinking, seeing thought initiates everything, including the ending of everything.
