Easy as 1,2,3 (4,5)
Easy as 1,2,3 (4,5!) Although designed as a day to celebrate relationships for those lucky enough to struck by Cupid’s arrow, the international day of love can just as easily make you feel ashamed or embarrassed to be alone. Overtime we’ve bought into the idea that Valentine's Day is a day about love for others and others love for us, rather than an overall celebration of just love.

How Alvin Ailey transformed my life
When I was a young child, my mother put me and my older sister in both gymnastics and dance classes. My sister was an amazing gymnast. She was so good at it that one day while watching her class, I tried to copy what she was doing. I fell and broke my arm. That was the decision-maker for me: I didn’t want to be a gymnast like my sister anymore. I would be a prima ballerina. I didn’t know it then but Alvin Ailey would be a major influence in my life.

The biggest Dreams for me
Every day of my life is a “We will figure it out”. I get for a lot of us it is. Right now, I'm working through as many things as I can to one day be able to say, “We 100% got this!” I am more than sure several of you can agree. I can say I am not asking for a lot.

New Year or New Day
Over the years in our society, like many of our ancient traditions, we have lost the origins of New Years. A time to celebrate the new moon and the day of equal sunlight and darkness. To welcome the rebirth of the natural world. A beautiful celebration of remembering our roots and giving thanks to the land. In our celebrations now, we have turned the focus towards ourselves and our personal lives. Blaming life for what’s been happening to us and judging ourselves. We put so much hope and belief that like a fairytale, at the stroke of midnight, when the fireworks illuminate the sky, something magical is going to happen. POOF! All that has taken place in the previous year, all that we’ve experienced and done will magically be erased. We will begin the New Year with a clean slate, where all is forgotten and anything is possible. All the hopes we’ve had and the dreams we’ve imagined will come true.

Stand in your Greatness, be the Badass Chick that you are
Stop being a doormat to other people because of your insecurities. Start living your life with confidence and being the best version of you to attract the same back to you. You can’t expect to manifest the life or the people you want in your reality by sitting on your bed visualizing and feeling sorry for yourself. Be unapologetically selfish with going after the life you want. If you want results to appear, then you need to take assertive action. You must be willing to change and shift your state of being to derive the life you seek.

Nebuchadnezzar Guidelines
8FEB2021; 2245, MON I'm just jamming out to J. Cole's new(?) playlist on Tidal, and I randomly realized that it's been a New York minute since I've posted an actually original list; and after a three-peat in The Swamp "community", I figure why not a change of pace? So, "let's kick the ballistics"!

9 Positive Beliefs To Cultivate For A Simpler And Happier Life
I’m a big believer in positive thinking. I think being in a positive place within is foundational to a peaceful life. Everyone grows up listening to certain “catchphrases” about life from their parents, family, teachers, friends, etc.

How modelling is bringing MY sexy back
That’s my question and the fire in my belly that’s driving me right now. Becoming a successful model was my childhood ambition - I modelled my vision on Naomi Campbell (see what I did there). As in: a beautiful black woman from South London, totally slaying it on the catwalk. Ok so 5 out of 6 isn’t too bad (I'll give you a second to add them up)...

A goddess creates "Me Day"
Many of us were taught to love others before we loved ourselves. “Love thy neighbor” and “the more you give love, the more you receive” were common phrases I heard while growing up. I spent most of my life thinking that I had to give all my love away like a monk taking a vow of poverty if I were truly to receive love from someone else.
