$20,000 Later: Life After Winnings
I was about five months into working in the fitness industry until I lost my job due to Covid-19. It was a minimum-wage job, and I was exploring my interests in the field. Basically, one coach got a bunch of members infected, and it was all downhill from there.

Reflections
Worthless. It's all worthless. The daggers of the reality she now perceives as the utter refuse of her existence settle into her spirit, tearing at her heart as she sweeps her arm across her desk, sending flurries of papers and books sprawling to the floor. What's the use of even trying? Breaking down in sobs, she sinks past the chair and curls over her own knees on the floor, releasing the waves of her despair against the desk in her study.

How I found my voice through the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
I came from a very talented and gifted family. receiving traits such as athleticism as well as the love of arts. I Grew up at church most of my life, My earliest memories are sneaking out of the children's church services and sneaking into dress rehearsals for the churches theatre. My parents don't speak much of it now but they were both talented actors. I fell in love with story telling right in that moment... However I let the opinions of vicious children my age steal my voice box.

Mind, Body, and So
Different is a curse given only to those who are meant to bring about change on this planet, however, it is up to them to accept it. It is not a task for the faint of heart to challenge the social norms in which we allow ourselves to be imprisoned. Sadly, this is a statement that is amplified amongst people of color. Javontay Baynes, otherwise known as Spiritual So is a living example of this concept. Even so, he challenged me to carve my own path rather than follow one that is already paved. Such inspiration is hard to come by in the black community.

Change
There was nothing more to say. All of the things that needed to get out of her were delivered madly and fiercely and could never be taken back. She wanted desperately to forget all of the events that led to the toxic explosion of verbiage and acts of hostility. She was desperate to escape the shame. There was no undoing this. Her mind replayed every word, every emotion, every tortured look on their faces. She was exhausted. As she drove away, alone she heard a voice. It was calm and reassuring and it said to her “you get to decide what you want to think about.” This was news to her. She had spent a lifetime trying to outthink all of the events that baffled her. Nothing was ever left to God. She had no knowledge of God. This constant thinking that she thought was mandatory was never comforting, it never found resolution, instead it was manipulative. It would force her into the worst situations with painful results There was no way to outthink what had happened. Everything was said and done. But this voice, it told of something she never thought before and it hinted at the possibility of relief. LIttle did she know at that moment that these words would start a revolution inside her, that they would stir an awakening to depths she couldn’t even imagine and they would change the course of her life from that moment forward.

The Old Man
“It’s so cold out today. I wish I had a better jacket,” Aspen whispers to herself. Every day she walked to work from her tiny apartment in a bad part of town. She had just undergone the worst divorce imaginable. Her ex-husband took everything, leaving her with only the clothes on her back. It wasn’t the greatest of times in her life, but she was just so happy to be away finally. She didn’t have children and owned very little. But she still had one thing she hadn’t in over 4 years. Happiness.

Casual diary of a random citizen
I am a random citizen and this will by all means be a very random diary; a random and not continuously kept diary. The reason behind this diary is to share and hopefully normalize the fact that not everyday has to a day when we get a praise or critique; are happy or sad; feel accomplished or sluggish, and on and on. Since the pandemic, I have found out that this "boring" randomness that follows my days has in fact been a rewarding experience and an awakening towards the realization that not doing much might just mean that you are actually doing a lot, for you. I am indeed a random citizen, my life is no more boring nor more exciting than that of my neighbors In fact, I have been working hard to instill some sort of common sense into myself to appreciate the little things and to take a break after a long chase. With a mentally demanding job, I find that spending time just sitting in the couch for 2 hours is actually a much better thing (for me) than engaging in any activity. So yes, if you decide to follow up on my causal diary, there is a good chance that you might be reading of a wonderful time when I sat on my couch and did nothing or just listened to music or just re-watch some random episode of The Office (as the dedicated fan that I am).

To all my identities I've had before
Okay, here's the deal. I just wrote 2500 words for my English class on Friday night and my professor is probably going to hate it since it's not well-structured enough and all that stuff. If I let that happen that would mean I just lost 4 hours of my life (skipping the fact I'm one step closer to getting my Associate's Degree) not including the pizza break. Honestly, I had fun with it so maybe, just maybe you will too. Enjoy my English 01 homework!
