Ramadan is the holy month of fasting, prayer, and spiritual reflection for Muslims worldwide. It is a month-long period of self-discipline, sacrifice, and spiritual growth. The first ten days of Ramadan are considered especially blessed, with many dua's (supplications) and special practices to help Muslims gain the most from this holy month.

The most recited dua in the first ten months of Ramadan

اللهم امرحمنا براهماتيكا يا ارهمر رحيمين ".

O Allah! The most gracious of all the gracious! Stay in your grace and have mercy on us..

Here are some of the dua's and special practices of the first ten days of Ramadan:

01. Seeking forgiveness from Allah (SWT):

Muslims begin the month of Ramadan by seeking forgiveness from Allah for their sins. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to say, "O Allah, forgive me and accept my repentance, for you are the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

02. Reciting the Quran:

Muslims are encouraged to recite the Quran as much as possible during the month of Ramadan, especially during the first ten days. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to recite the entire Quran during Ramadan.

03. Giving charity:

Muslims are also encouraged to give charity during Ramadan. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to be even more generous during Ramadan than at any other time of the year.

04. Fasting:

Fasting during the month of Ramadan is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Muslims fast from dawn until dusk, abstaining from food, drink, and other physical needs. It is believed that fasting helps Muslims become more spiritually aware and closer to Allah.

05. Offering Taraweeh prayers:

Muslims offer Taraweeh prayers after the Isha prayer during Ramadan. It is a special prayer consisting of 20 Rakat that is offered in congregation. Taraweeh prayers help Muslims gain more spiritual strength and blessings during Ramadan.

06. Offering Tahajjud prayers:

Muslims can

offer Tahajjud prayers during the last third of the night. It is an optional prayer that can be offered any time after Isha and before Fajr. Tahajjud prayers help Muslims connect with Allah and ask for His blessings.

07. Making Dua:

Muslims are encouraged to make dua (supplication) during the first ten days of Ramadan. It is a time when Allah is most likely to answer our prayers. Muslims should ask for forgiveness, guidance, and blessings from Allah during this time.

08. Observing Itikaf:

Itikaf is a practice where Muslims seclude themselves in a mosque for the last ten days of Ramadan. It is a time when Muslims focus on their worship and gain more spiritual strength.

09. Seeking Laylatul Qadr:

Laylatul Qadr is the Night

of Power, which is believed to be the most blessed night of the year. It is usually observed during the last ten days of Ramadan, and Muslims should seek it by spending the night in worship and making dua.

10. Offering Zakat al-Fitr:

Zakat al-Fitr is a special charity given by Muslims at the end of Ramadan. It is meant to purify the fasting of Muslims and help the poor and needy. Muslims should give Zakat al-Fitr before the Eid prayer.

In conclusion, the first ten days of Ramadan are a time for Muslims to increase their worship and gain more spiritual strength. Muslims should seek forgiveness, recite the Quran, give charity, fast, offer Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers, make dua, observe Itikaf, seek Laylatul Qadr, and offer Zakat al-Fitr. These practices help Muslims become closer to Allah and gain more blessings during Ramadan. May Allah accept our worship and forgive our sins during this holy month. Ameen.
