Evolve or Repeat?

So often decisions overwhelm us because there are multiple actions we can take, or not take. Which one is right? Which one is wrong? Which path will reflect my heart's desire? In order to see all the possible doorways of potential, we require an uncluttered view. Physical and mental clutter often piles up and before you know it, you have a huge pile filled with excuses, “should haves” “some days” “maybe tomorrow”.

“If you are unhappy with anything... whatever is bringing you down, get rid of it. Because you’ll find that when you’re free, your true creativity , your true self comes out “ -Tina Turner

You simply can’t have a different life and do the exact same things you’ve always been doing. It’s utterly impossible. To see real significant changes in your life, you have to start doing something different. Maybe it is a new hairstyle? maybe it’s a new wellness routine? Maybe it's some new friends? Maybe it’s a new attitude.

You are either constantly living in a state of change, or your life is repeating itself. In other words, you either evolve or repeat. In order to bring in the new, we must release the old. Sometimes we know just what we need to release, but other times the distinction can be very hard to pinpoint what exactly requires change.

You can’t become who you are meant to be if you’re clinging to who you think you should be.

“Growth is painful. Change is painful, but nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong “- Mandy Hale.

Change is inevitable and constant, and fighting against the inevitable always leads to suffering in some way. Think about an area of your life where you are resisting change. Maybe it is making a change to a new home, or changing a relationship that just isn’t serving you. Maybe it’s starting that business venture you always dreamed of? What is the first step you can take to embrace this change instead of resisting it?

Adapt to habits that support your vision (s)

What are you doing every single day with your time, sis? Your life force? With your mindset? Are your daily habits producing the vision you see in your mind? So many people get so frustrated, and shut down completely, wondering just why their vision isn’t happening for them. The truth is , it’s not that it can’t happen; it’s just that certain habits have been repeated so often, it almost feels painfully comfortable to you to stay the same.

When has change been hard for you? How have you overcome those struggles to create strength within yourself?

“We delight in the beauty of the butterfly , but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty “ - Maya Angelou

In many cases, the symbolism of a butterfly is in relation to transformation, but do you think that the butterfly has it easy? Do you think that the butterfly just wakes up and becomes a butterfly? The answer to that question is, no! A butterfly must break free of its cocoon and on its own. Even if a human is overseeing the butterfly struggling or attempts to want to “help”, its wings would not have the necessary strength to lift its body off the tree branch and soar high. The very wings of the butterfly must be strengthened as they work to push out of the cocoon. Now I am certain, it is hard and probably extremely painful, for a butterfly to emerge. But each and every single push of those delicate wings makes it that much stronger, so that when it does spring free, it’s able to carry itself wherever it needs to go, on wings of its own.

Nothing is more beautiful than growth after self-reflection. SO many people underestimate the power of reflection and getting to know yourself and your desires on a DEEP level. The weight of your life and what truly makes you happy is all inside you, and without setting powerful intentions to support those desires, you’ll never feel like you know where you’re going.

Feeling bad about your lack of progress makes it difficult for you to get things done. If you give up, how can you be sure that you didn’t miss out on something amazing? Each and every day you taking the steps to cultivate change, to be your best self. If you’re moving, it’s progress! That willingness to be better, and that honest look within one self, and moment of realization that you’ve come so far, why stop now? It’s a beautiful feeling. Keep growing, and looking into the depths of yourself. Build that strong relationship with YOU!

Contrary to popular belief, Loving yourself is not just a matter of saying positive affirmations while standing naked in the mirror. I mean it’s definitely part of it but not entirely. Sometimes it’s respecting yourself to walk away from any person or situation who is judgemental of you, or makes you feel anything less then amazing and unique that you are. You are a highly valuable person. You are not defined by what someone has said to you to try and dim your light. They can’t do this with their words or actions. You will begin to feel stronger and more empowered as you remember that your inner world belongs to you.

We are all learning, and we are all on our own adventure. You know how much it has taken to be who you are and outgrow the habits that once held you back. Life is very mysterious, and in order to thrive in this space, Faith is needed. So go right now and release anything that has told you that you can’t. Release habits that have kept your vibrant energy stagnant. You are needed here. You’re Worthy. You’re Special.

There is absolutely no growth in your comfort zone, and there is definitely no comfort in your growth zone. The beautiful thing about life is that every single day and morning you have the opportunity to start over.

Evolve or repeat? The decision is yours and yours alone.
