" Commitment, Believing and Receiving is all that it takes."

All we do in life is of Choice or Habit. The things that are automatic and feel comfortable are of habit. When we have to make an effort and/or we are out of our comfort zone we have made a choice. Our habits can be healthy or unhealthy and can be changed at any time. All it takes is a little effort and getting comfortable with the uncomfortable.

That uncomfortable feeling is only fear of the unknown. The unknown is actually not scary. It is where growth comes from. If you want a new habit it is going to take some getting comfortable in the unknown. There is nothing to lose only learning happens here. When we are an infant and we learn to walk. We fall multiple times getting back up to be the advanced walkers we are today. If we gave up when we started to walk, because it was different. We would all still be crawling around on the floor.

Our healthy habits serve us in the lifestyle we want to live while our unhealthy habits sabotage us in the life we want to live. Polar opposites although we all have them both. The key over our lifetime is to be aware what is serving our higher purpose and what is not. Overtime if we keep fine tuning ourselves to be the best we can be. We contribute to the ones around us in very valuable ways and in actuality change the world. Have you ever heard the quote by Gandhi “You must be the change you want to see in the world.” Therefore, today is your day to start changing the world.

If you want to change your life all it takes is determination, believing and receiving the outcome. To change a habit takes 21 days and only you have the power to see it through. At this point you may be asking, How?

In 3 easy steps you can change any habit you want to:

1) Being aware of what needs to be changed and why

2) Wanting to change to support your why

3) Being committed to the change

If you want to make a commitment to creating a habit that is healthy the key is to figure out your why. If you have achieved anything of significance in your life you know it took discipline and hard work. Some of you are discounting yourself here. If you graduated high school, received your first job or learned to read you have achieved something significant in your life.

To get to where you are today there was an inner drive that pushed you on those days you didn't feel like going the extra mile in your training. This inner drive was your why. Just as in the past you need a why. Your why has to be strong and greater than yourself. It has to be the motivating factor that gets you out of bed in the morning when you may be hung over and feeling terrible.

It has to come from the heart. For some it is having the ability to be there for the family or support the family. For others it could be work and having the ability to give to their community in some way, and for others it could be helping others. There are various reasons. Try not to have your why be to lose weight and look good. This is not greater than yourself and often times will fail. Remember it takes 21 days to create a habit. You don't want to quit day 15 and start back at day 1. You want to reap the rewards of your work.

To create a new habit takes commitment and consistency. The marathon runner doesn’t run a marathon without consistent training. Stick to the plan and let nothing stand in the way of you living the life and achieving the goals you want to achieve. In doing so this world will be a better place. Start creating your new life today.
