Turning to Faith from Materialism
As we grow, we are taught to trust in the material world we live in. We think only things we see, touch, taste, smell, and hear can be genuine and trusted. Although there is so much more available to us if we open to the foundation of what creates the world we live in.

Fear and Love
As humans, we have fear and love within us. We look at a baby, and something instantaneously in us wants to take care of the cute and helpless human. A baby ignites passion in hearts that the parents feel a state of love they never felt before. One of my friends stated, “It’s the kind of love you always wanted.” The baby brings the truth of what we are to the light. We all have a beautiful love inside, waiting to come out at the right timing.

Waves of Change in Oneself Create Ripples of Change in Others
Self-regulation is the only control we possess in this lifetime. The way we treat our resources and ourselves is vital to our journey on earth. Our actions influence people around us and should always be done with benevolence. As humans, there is a lot of monkey see monkey do. With this concept, we can make dynamic changes in the world with our lifestyle and by example.

Lumbar Stenosis
If you have been diagnosed with lumbar stenosis, it can be a confusing and frustrating time of your life. For one, what does it mean, and now you have a diagnosis. What do you do? Rest assured, there are answers, and you aren’t alone. Let’s start by defining lumbar stenosis. The word lumbar is the name for the last five vertebrae that make up the low back. These vertebrae together form the intervertebral foramen (hole), in which our lumbar nerves leave the spinal cord and make their way down the legs. These vertebrae also make up the spinal canal, which houses the spinal cord. Stenosis means narrowing; therefore, in lumbar stenosis, there is a narrowing of either the spinal canal or of the intervertebral foramen at one or more levels of the spine.

Posture and the Importance of the Core
When our parents told us to “stand up straight,” they were teaching us a valuable lesson in body mechanics. Our Center of gravity (COG) in the human body is located a couple of inches below the belly button and is slightly posterior. It is vital because it is the balance point of the body. Think of the center of gravity as the fulcrum of a teeter tooter. If there are irregular forces on the fulcrum, the lever arm or force must change to create balance. As in the example of the teeter tooter, if someone is heavier, they move toward the fulcrum to balance the weight, or the lighter person moves toward the end of the teeter tooter. Notice in the picture below that the points are distributed to balance along the COG line.

Rid yourself of Physical and Emotional Pain
If you are or have been in pain emotionally or physically, you know it is unpleasant. Pain is one of the last things any of us wants and would do almost anything to avoid it. The reason is pain is scary; it reminds us of our lack of invincibility and inevitable death. Unfortunately, until now, unless you have already figured it out. There has been no way for one to avoid pain in their life, which is why you are reading this article now.

Turning within to find freedom
Do you ever wonder why we are so entangled in what is going on outside ourselves rather than within? Facebook, Famous people’s lives, Instagram, Snapchat, television, etc. When you watch the news, you find yourself scared of something you didn’t even know about it. A friend tells you about a sighting of a bear on a trail you always hike on. Suddenly, fear rushes in, and now you don’t want to hike on your favorite trail. We often allow the occurrences outside ourselves to determine how we think and how we react.

Relationship Failed Doesn't Mean Failure
When a relationship ends, we often find ourselves in the dumps trying to put ourselves back together again. Our heart is broken, and we are left to figure out what to do with the rest of our lives. The plans that we once had are broken and so is our heart. We feel like a failure and the whole world is going to end. We no longer enjoy the things we used to, and the future looks bleak.

Creating Healthy Habits
All we do in life is of Choice or Habit. The things that are automatic and feel comfortable are of habit. When we have to make an effort and/or we are out of our comfort zone we have made a choice. Our habits can be healthy or unhealthy and can be changed at any time. All it takes is a little effort and getting comfortable with the uncomfortable.

Leaving Separation for Gratitude of Differences within the Community of Humanity
We often find ourselves in turmoil due to not accepting other ways or opinions. The other we create are pinned as the outsider and often too many times hated. We are stuck in thinking our opinion is the only one and is always right. In this mind frame we can't come from a place of understanding. Instead, we create anger inside ourselves, feeling like the victim, because someone doesn't agree with us. In reality we are a victim self-created from self-hatred and lack of acceptance. If we need to be right so much so as to be angry, we are coming from a place of separation and fear.

Attachment
There is no guarantee or permanency of anything in this life, although we pretend there is. One major problem we have as a human is the emotion. Emotions are beautiful and make things alive, although we can attach to the things that make us feel a certain way. Especially events or things that create a euphoric happiness.
