A Very Big Advice to my younger self

Wisdom to my younger self

By Ibrahim DaudaPublished 2 months ago 3 min read

Thinking about the idealized situation of going back in time to speak with my younger self frequently makes me feel reflective in the same way that I would if I were mentoring a younger version of myself, like a beloved son. Reflecting on the life lessons I would give those past incarnations of myself, I am struck by how much wisdom I have gathered along the way.

The most important piece of advice I could give is to always be on the lookout for ways to protect yourself from the sneaky infiltration of outside constraints. In all of its manifestations, society tries to place limitations on our goals and dreams by drawing them into the constrained parameters of the usual. Still, it is essential

"Imagining that I could go back in time and talk to my younger self sometimes makes me feel like I'm mentoring a younger version of myself, like a beloved son." The knowledge I've gained from my life's experience makes me consider the priceless advice I would give those past incarnations of myself.

Foremost among the pearls of wisdom I would bestow is the resounding imperative to fiercely guard against the insidious encroachment of external limitations. Society, in its myriad forms, endeavors to impose boundaries on our aspirations, endeavoring to confine our dreams within the narrow confines of conventionality. However, it is imperative to recognize that the power to stifle our ambitions resides solely within ourselves. Thus, the clarion call to defy the naysayers and forge ahead undeterred, transcending the comfort of familiarity to explore uncharted territories of personal growth and self-realization.

Moreover, I would underscore the profound significance of nurturing and cherishing one's dreams and aspirations. In a world rife with cynicism and skepticism, it is all too easy to succumb to the allure of resignation, relinquishing the pursuit of our passions in favor of the path of least resistance. Yet, it is in the pursuit of our dreams that we discover the true essence of our being, harnessing the latent reservoirs of resilience and fortitude that lie dormant within.

In the crucible of life's adversities, I would impart the invaluable lesson of reframing setbacks as springboards for growth and enlightenment. Adversity, far from being a harbinger of defeat, serves as a catalyst for metamorphosis, propelling us towards the zenith of our potential. Thus, I would urge my younger self to embrace challenges with a spirit of tenacity and perseverance, cognizant of their transformative power in shaping the contours of our destiny.

Furthermore, I would advocate for the cultivation of unwavering self-belief as the cornerstone of personal and professional success. Amidst the cacophony of doubt and uncertainty, it is incumbent upon us to harbor an unshakable faith in our abilities, steadfast in our resolve to surmount the tallest of obstacles. For it is this unwavering conviction that serves as the lodestar guiding us through the labyrinthine passages of life, illuminating the path to our loftiest aspirations.

In traversing the vicissitudes of life, I would impress upon my younger self the cardinal importance of remaining anchored to one's core values and principles. Integrity, humility, and empathy serve as the lodestars guiding our moral compass, navigating the tumultuous seas of existence with equanimity and grace. For it is in upholding these timeless virtues that we fortify the bastions of our character, leaving an indelible imprint upon the tapestry of humanity.

In summation, the hypothetical dialogue with my younger self serves as a poignant reminder of the perennial wisdom encapsulated within the annals of human experience. Through the prism of retrospection, we glean invaluable insights into the tapestry of our existence, forging a path illuminated by the radiant beacon of self-discovery and enlightenment. As we traverse the hallowed corridors of time, let us heed the clarion call to transcend the shackles of mediocrity, embracing our inherent potential with boundless fervor and conviction."
