Gratitude

Gratitude means thankfulness. In other words, the feeling of being thankful for every small blessing is gratitude. Be it your health, wealth or family, you can be grateful for any and everything. It allows us to send positive message to the universe and attract optimism. On the other hand, when we are ungrateful, we send pessimistic message and absorb negativity.

Benefits of Gratitude

From mental peace to physical well-being, gratitude has numerous benefits. It helps us to reduce stress and overcome depression and anxiety. As all of these states occur by concentrating on the negatives. Grateful people are happier and healthier than others.

When we are in state of gratitude, numerous chemical reactions take place in our brain that heal the body. It also improves sleep and allow us to recover easily after a tiring day. Apart from it, gratitude increases the relationships with friends, spouse, family members and kids.

The simple concept of gratitude is to be grateful for what you have and you will have more things in life. You can be thankful for good relations, health and wealth One of the main benefit of practicing gratitude is that it helps us to focus on good things in life and ignore bad ones. We usually have more positives in life but our brain is not trained to focus on them. That's why our brain usually focus on negatives. Therefore, training brain to optimism is the fundamental requirement before starting the practice of gratitude.

Most religions preach gratitude. Islam, a major religion, suggests that a person should be grateful to Almighty Allah in every state. Keep a Gratitude Journal

Journaling is one of the best practices when it comes to gratitude. You just need to make a habit of writing things you enjoy in life. This will allow you to see how positive things are increasing. And once you see the change, congratulations your mind is now trained to see positive in every situation.

Use Gratitude Mapping

You can place a board at your office desk, living room or bedroom. Post each and every event on it that you enjoyed and the board will soon filled with positives of your life. This will serve as a reminder whenever you walk past it.
