This is the Third Article in regards to The Philosopher's Stone, if you have not read the previous articles, please do so by clicking here:

1 - Infinity & The Philosopher's Stone

2 - Balance & The Philosopher's Stone

***

Excuse the arrangement of words in this article. In regards to the concept of "The Philosopher's Stone," one must understand that what words say is as important as how they communicate.

***

We now begin to comprehend how deep the waters of the path of the Philosopher's Stone is, as we introduce the concepts that open more dimensions to the matter.

Infinity brings us the idea of a single point; having existence and everything inside its time in one, where nothing is separate.

Balance brings us the idea of duality and the complementary forces that push and pull infinity where the bridge between two points is created.

Now we introduce the idea of the third point which opens up new levels of thinking and comprehension, where the third dimension is implemented and the spiritual realm jumps into the physical one in manifestation.

At its basic terms, everything in our physical realm of existence has three dimensions, from which we can perceive reality and be aware of its existence as we tune in the frequency of the world with our physical senses.

But before anything is manifested, it must be originated from the single point of infinite source, and then made dual in balance in order to exist. Balance is the harmony of the universe which underlines "As Above, So Below" in a way to be used as a communication of energies between the two points; between what is and what is not, between light and dark, between the physical and the spiritual. It is the 'male and female' of the universe which gives birth to its manifestation.

The third point in our allegory is manifestation itself, it is the mystical and magical spark of the universe that makes something exist. This is the introduction of Trinity.

The word Trinity has many interpretations in religious, spiritual, metaphysical and philosophical understandings; therefore, we will cover some examples but keep in mind that there are always many more meanings behind the symbol of the word.

This is the main reason why I am writing and publishing these articles little by little, section by section, introducing the ideas by the number, for they are connected in a way that goes beyond comprehension. For you see, if 1 is I am, and 2 is the other, then 3 is the mystical element that unites 1 and 2 beyond oneself, for it is the creation that has come to teach the creator.

Morienus, an alchemist from the twelfth century, elaborated the alchemical understanding of Trinity in these words:

"The Sages have affirmed that our Stone is composed of body, soul and spirit, and they have spoken truly. For the imperfect part they have compared to a body, because it is weak. The water they have called spirit, and truly because it is spirit. The ferment they have termed soul, because it gives life to the imperfect body and makes its from more beautiful."

And elaborates further:

"A spirit is never joined to a body but by the interposition of a soul. For the soul is the medium between body and spirit, joining them together."

He also connects the idea of trinity to complete the composition in an alchemical way of understanding:

"Body, Soul and Spirit make up one thing, which has all in itself, and to which nothing is added."

Here we enter a new level where the concept of Trinity opens up our perceptions. For if Spirit is the essence of infinite source, then its complementary counterpart to keep the balance is Body, which are made into existence as one thing with Soul as its medium.

Trinity can be found in different religions and philosophies:

Christianity: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The Hindu Trinity: Brahma, the creator; Vishnu, the preserver and Shiva, the destroyer.

The Trinity in Vedic Energy Manifestations: Tamas (inertia, darkness), Rajas (preservation, movement) and Satvas (creation, purity)

The Supernal Triad in Kabbalah: Kether, Chokmah and Binah.

Spiral of Life: Body, Mind and Spirit.

However, these examples and interpretation in philosophies and religions must be integrated by your own way of understanding, for the path of the Philosopher's Stone is not an incorporation of beliefs, per se, but an expansion of ideas that resonate with our own nature with purity, letting these concept be applied by our own natural process.

Therefore, it is important to be familiar with the interpretations of trinity through different sources, but integrate them in a way where we feel and think align with our own truth. And I speak this point freely for the purpose of explaining things that go beyond words:

Alchemists and mystics in the path of the Philosopher's Stone understand symbols as a way of representing the unseen and the indescribable. For if I say this is That, then That becomes a label and symbol for you to understand what this is, without misunderstanding what is, without caging it into a label where we only see the word and not the meaning behind it.

The idea of symbols is crucial in alchemy, for it makes bridge of efficiency in energy and simplifies complex ideas. The introduction of the four elements, the zodiac signs, the symbols of the planets, the symbols for the metals have a physical interpretation and spiritual meaning.

Trinity is a symbol that encloses different variations of interpretations and becomes essential to understand the unspoken. However, how the symbols are applied is something that is unfolded gradually as the natural process of this path is explored.

So ask yourself questions as we go deeper into meanings and concepts of words.

What is Infinity for you?

What is Balance for you?

What is Trinity for you?

How do you incorporate these concepts in order for you to be more in tune with nature? To be more open? More efficient in energy? More expansive in skills an abilities?

How do you integrate these concepts to be a better person? To be better today than who you were yesterday? How do you know right and wrong? How do you know what to say and do? What do you believe?

These are just questions for you to process, for you reflect on yourself about who you are, beyond what you think of who you are. And these questions are not for you to answer me, but to answer yourself, so as we begin to go deeper into this path, the question of Why begins to have more answers.

Remember, this path is about you.

You are the Philosopher's Stone.

That's why the phrase which marks the path is: Know Thyself

***

A very general way of applying Trinity is to see the insight of:

I, You and It.

Where I is yourself,

You is the other,

and It is bridge that connects you both.

So,

What is It for you and the other?

What would be the best It for both of you to be?

Sometimes you can be It for other two,

Sometimes you can be You and not I.

Sometimes you can not include yourself in the equation and see how others fit into the insight of trinity to understand what is the bridge between them.

So you see, the symbol of Trinity can be used as a tool to see different perceptions of the same situation, bringing meaning into insight.

Please take your time to process these concepts, for philosophy can be deep to integrate and with time, different perceptions can arise in your insight.

I will continue to unfold little by little this path, for this is a path I've been, and I wish to share it so you can also evolve in all levels and reach higher potentials. All my best.
