I'm going to give you the most important overall reason as to why you aren't successful at losing weight. It's easy to correct for the 98% of people who don't do this.

Before I give you the reason, I want to make something clear to you.

Most of your weight loss will be attributed to your diet. Dieting is far more power for losing weight as compared to exercise. Combined, they're great. But if you had to choose one or the other to lose weight... diet or exercise... choose diet.

Now that I've said that, here's the #1 reason as to why you can't lose weight.

You don't organize your meals!

Since diet is most important when it comes to weight loss... and organizing your meals is most important to eating correctly... it's logical to say that not organizing your meals is the biggest factor holding a person back from successfully losing weight and keeping it off.

You know you should eat more vegetables and fruits, but do you? Why not? For most of you, it's because you haven't properly organized them into your eating.

An example... if I were to tell you to eat 3 apples a day to lose weight (yes it works!), how would you go about that? Would you buy a bag of 20 apples from the store so the apples are readily available? If yes, then that's one step towards organizing your diet for successful weight loss.

I know you know the basics to weight loss. They're common knowledge by now. But why don't you follow them? It's because you "play things by ear" and don't plan out your meals for the week.

If you planned out your meals and got all the necessary foods on a Sunday, you're way ahead of the game for losing weight. And the truth is, it's not that hard to do.

If you're not prepared and organized with your diet, then you're going to eat foods for convenience. When you're unprepared and starving, you'll eat anything that's around. So by preparing ahead of time, you have the power to choose what you eat since you are thinking with a clear head instead of a hungry mouth.

Bottom line: The more prepared and organized you are with your diet, the more likely you'll be to lose weight. It's not luck or fate that is holding you back from weight loss.

So sit down for 15-20 minutes and plan out what foods you need and what your meal and snack plan will be for the next week. If you do that and follow the plan (provided you are choosing somewhat healthy foods), you can't help but to lose weight.
