The HoodooLady

Humanity seems to have lost touch with that which is truly important - the inner wisdom, intuition, and ability to create the reality that we REALLY want and the lives that we are meant to live. We have been numbed and dumbed down by society, by the technology that has taken over our lives and interrupted our connection with that higher source that begs us to pay attention to what it is trying to tell us. We have forgotten how to listen to what we instinctively know deep within.

The ancients, the “ancestors”, were naturally intuitive, they were able to know what the coming winter would be like by observing the animals, trees, and plants, they knew what plants they could eat, and they “sensed” when danger was near - they could track an unseen target intuitively - they were dialed in to nature and what they needed to know to survive. But when it came to deeper, more spiritual issues, to their physical and mental health, they relied on the tribal shaman or medicine man to guide them. While there was a tribal chief (or king, depending on the area in which they lived) the shaman or medicine man was highly revered and truly the most powerful person in the tribe.

The Shamans and medicine men of old have been largely replaced by religious leaders who have also fallen victim to being numbed and dumbed down by society, as well as many questionable scandals. The emergence and renewed popularity of psychics has brought about a whole new set of problems by charlatans who claim to be psychics and will draw people in by playing on their concerns and fears, demanding increasingly larger sums of money to "fix" the problems of the people who they scam. So how does one go about finding a psychic who is trustworthy? Again, you need to trust your intuition. If something doesn’t “feel” right, then it probably isn’t, and you need to trust that feeling.

That being said, I have known Amber for over a decade, and she has been a constant source of inspiration to me. She grew up the daughter of a southern Baptist minister, but her studies of the bible were viewed through the eyes and mind of a psychic medium. Amber has always known that she was different, that she was “connected” in ways others were not, that she was given a precious gift that was meant to be shared with the world.

Amber has used both her knowledge and her abilities to create a business called The HoodooLady. She makes spell candles, mojo bags, oils, and powders that address any number of things that a person may have going on in their lives and need a bit of help with. She offers a variety of psychic and Tarot readings as well as services to help clear negative energy from your person and your space. She helps people gain clarity in their otherwise muddled lives – IF they are ready, and willing, to take her advice and take control of their lives. She said to me, “It was created as a place to share my gifts and insights with others. Truthfully wanting to help my community in a way that had been done in secret for so long.”

She started her business during the 2020 pandemic, as she suddenly had the free time to perfect her craft; and while she had hoped to have maybe 50 friends as “fans” she has instead gained a couple thousand followers on her Facebook page in the short time since she started it. She keeps in contact with her friends and followers, having an almost daily “morning coffee and chat” on Facebook where she will do some readings or just chat about things going on in the world and the lives of her followers. She has helped others to open up to their own abilities, she has helped them with issues affecting their lives, and she has been a friend who listens without judging.

The help, and services, that Amber provides may seem controversial to some, but they are no more so than some of the help and services provided by churches/religious leaders around the world, it is all about your intent. The Catholics have prayer candles that a believer can light to honor a person in their life, or to give power to a desired wish or outcome. People will gladly accept the help of a religious leader but they will balk at someone who refers to themselves as a witch, psychic, or spiritual healer. It is all about intent and Amber’s intent is always pure in her creations. Her spell candles can either be for a specific, preset, purpose - things like love, money, or protection - or if you have something a bit more complicated going on then she can custom create a candle specific to your needs. The same with her mojo bags, powders, and oils. The tools of her trade are used to create something for her customers to focus on, to give strength and power to, just as the prayer candles of the Catholic faith do.

What would you do to achieve peace of mind? To what lengths are you willing to go to protect yourself and your loved ones? How wonderful would it be to be able to let go of the negativity in your life and be able to relax and enjoy your time, instead of stressing about an unknown future? Those are all things that Amber is able to address and help you gain control of. I have read reviews from clients about how much she has been able to help them with whatever is going on in their life and she is adored by her clients. The love and compassion that she has for others is inspiring in a world that has become jaded and hateful. Her wisdom is deep and meaningful, giving insights that a person may not have considered before talking to her. She is, as she said, helping people in a way that has been done in secret for a long time and she is bringing it into the light of day during a time in which we need guidance and hope for the future.

Visit her Facebook page and see for yourself what an amazing woman she is and what she has to offer.
