Caviar FeelingPublished 4 years ago in LongevityThe Lupron Chronicles
After almost ten years of painful menstruation, constant UTI symptoms, and no answers, I started on my Endometriosis journey. On Thanksgiving 2016, I started experiencing new sharp and twisting pain. I went back to the surgeon I had chosen for exploratory surgery a few years before and told him now is the time. I have Stage 4 Endometriosis with Chocolate Cysts (Stage Three) causing Deep Infiltrating Endometriosis lesions. Along with these DIE lesions, I have spots of endometriosis all over my pelvic cavity ranging from Stage 1 severity to Stage 4 severity. These multitudes of lesions and stages had started to severely impact my mobility and daily life. The FDA approved drug Depo-Lupron or "Lupron," is my last choice and I am starting it soon.

Let's talk about Sexual abuse. Every 98 seconds, an American is sexually assaulted. Every eight minutes, that victim is a child. One of every five will be female, one in every 20 will be male.

August 14, 2016, is a date that unfortunately I'll never forget. I was hopeful going into my sophomore year of college. I had met all of my freshman year goals and I was ready to conquer my new ones. I arrived on campus at the end of July for RA training. It was such an exciting time because I was stepping into a role of big responsibility. I also made a friend in training who later became one of the best friends I could ask for.

Marlene AffeldPublished 7 years ago in LongevityMenopausal Madness
My take on menopause was that I was going to, maybe, get a couple of hot flashes, in my early fifties, a slight change in my body and the end of periods forever more (yeay). No more hormonal outbursts, no more cranky, I-want-to kill-someone moods and no more purchasing of sanitary products that may or may not give you cancer if you stuck them up your vagina. I would be free at last from the evil that was menstruation.
Boobs or Die
Breast cancer is a disease that effects an estimated 1 in 8 women and 1 in 1000 men each year. It comes with a slew of side effects and takes an average of 40,000 lives a year. It is safe to say that it is a deadly, serious disease. However, many individuals, both those who deal with breast cancer and those who do not, feel that breast cancer ads and slogans are sexualized, and as such this takes away from the serious nature of the disease.

Sapphire RavenclawPublished 7 years ago in LongevityDiscovering Dysphoria
I started to appreciate my period as I grew more mature. It happened as a result of exploring alternative means of healing and meeting a bunch of pagans while I studied shamanism. The Wiccan women I encountered seemed to appreciate their cycles. They spoke of "moon times" and "flow"...words I'd never associated with what I only knew as "the curse" because the word "menstruation" was far too bulky to be useful in most circumstances. I didn't know it was connected to the moon or the three faces of the goddess (virgin, maiden, crone), or that my blood was actually magical.

This article isn't about sex. I know, I know. You're disappointed. Me too. But all the best writers say to write about what you know, and to this day, I know very little about sex. Not long after getting my bachelor's degree, I was safely married and out of sin's way. I had a whopping total of two sexual encounters before I met my first husband.
Cheeky MinxPublished 7 years ago in LongevityHow to Have Coregasms
How to have coregasms has been the object of a lot of scientific research in the recent times. The idea of coregasm or exercise induced orgasm (EIO) shows clearly that there is a close relationship between exercise and sex. Both sex and exercise can make you sweat profusely and boost the level of endorphin in your blood. This in turn leads to the usual sexual pleasurable feelings. The endorphin boosts, whether from sex or exercise, is very beneficial for your heart and overall wellbeing. Recent researches show that exercise-induced-orgasms occur mostly through core or a lower abdominal exercise, which is why it is termed coregasm. Coregasms are basically used to describe an orgasm a woman achieves during physical exercises although a more recent research has found that that 10 percent of both men and women can equally experience coregasm.
