Tobacco is a devil. It tempts you to smoke. We need to conquer it though there are many difficulties when you quitting smoking. So we say it is a revolution if you decide to quit smoking.

"Smoking is the worst thing in the world. Don't smoke. If you do smoke, quit." though veteran TV, stage and film actor Jack Klugman ever said this, he also told us "Quitting smoking has become more difficult than ever, The first thing is that the cigarette itself is highly addictive. It delivers a lot of chemicals - including nicotine - that cause addiction. Secondly, it's manufactured in a way to make it even more addictive than, say, an old-fashioned cigarette. Then, for a person trying to quit smoking, we live in a stressful world with a lot going on. And all of those things make it much more difficult."

Smoking has killed millions of people. Lung Cancer, Emphysema, and heart failure then maybe death, are some of the things that you have to look forward to if you continue smoking. But when you start to quit smoking, you might find it is so difficulty! Of course, you should not be backward.

Many smokers say quitting was the hardest thing they ever did. You may feel hooked. You're probably addicted to nicotine. Nicotine is in all tobacco products. It makes you feel calm and satisfied. Several areas of research into determinants of ability to quit smoking are discussed, including measures of dependence, reactivity to nicotine, severity of withdrawal symptoms, endurance of discomfort, and psychological well being.

A number of correlates of inability to quit may have a common denominator in stress and neuroticism. If these are the primary obstacles to quitting, changes in the composition of the smoking population and in the image of smoking can be expected which could lead to smoking losing some of its appeal for potential new recruits. When you take the tobacco you will feel more alert and focused. The more you smoke the more nicotine you need to feel good. Soon, you don't feel "normal" without nicotine. It takes time to break free from nicotine addiction. It may take more than one try to quit for good. So don't give up too soon. You will feel good again.

Obviously, quitting isn't easy. You may even feel uncomfortable not smoking at times or in places where you usually have a cigarette. These times and places are called "triggers." That's because they trigger, or turn on, cigarette cravings. It takes willpower and strength to beat your addiction to nicotine. Breaking these habits is the hardest part of quitting for some smokers.

Quitting smoking is so difficult because smoking may be an important part of your life. You may smoke when you are bored, stressed, or angry. You would like to hold cigarettes and depend on them. After months and years of smoking, it becomes part of your daily routine. You may light up without even thinking about it but not because of any reasons. After a small time without a cigarette you may become hostile, your personality may change.

Because of these reasons,it shows that quitting smoking is a so big revolution.But,smokers,come on!If you can quit it,you will find that your life is so beautiful!

Studies have shown that the average annual quit rate among untreated smokers is about 2%, while brief advice from a clinician increases quit rates by 2% for those who have quit for 6 months or more.

Smokers who are not addicted or have low levels of tobacco dependence can quit with perseverance, but often require brief cessation advice and motivation to quit; those with higher levels of tobacco dependence often require stronger cessation interventions to eventually quit successfully.
