6 of Swords from The Star Tarot by Cathy McClelland

Mercury enters Pisces on Mon Feb 03 2020 03:42 AM PST. Before that happens, we have to deal with our last few days with the chaos of Mercury in Aquarius that is blowing over. A sleeping baby travels / floats away in the vast ocean being guarded / guided by orca whales, which are shown to us as a protector, as numerous stars surround them on their journey.

Pulling this card or the planetary placement of this card (Mercury in Aquarius) tells for a time of grieving and moving forward through the pain. There has been much stress and difficulty through this phase.

This card represents moving on / a transformation of recovery.

Pulling this card reminds you to take time to recover from what has left a traumatic or stressful dent in your routine / life and it is time to walk away from unhealthy relationships and personal choices.

ADVICE: Practice meditating while holding either garnet, amethyst, moss agate, opal or sugilite (Aquarius's five gemstones) and focusing on positive memories from childhood, if you possess any. Imagine your younger self and think of what made you happy at that age. Think of your younger self and visualize the events that brought solace to your heart / soul.

Aquarius is a sign with a thirst for knowledge and Mercury loves to talk and write it out, quench it! This card or planetary placement is a fantastic time to journal out some dark feelings or memories. Meditate on what’s holding you back, Aquarius can symbolize emotional strain but try to push through it! As mercury begins to leave Aquarius and enter the emotionally intelligent sign of Pisces, one could DEFINITELY take advantage of this shift from now until Monday feb 3!

DEEPER ANALYSIS: The Six of Swords travels at night, using the darkness as a shield or blanket to better slip away without being noticed. The flow of the ocean water is calm and moving forward, showing us that the mayhem is settling and coming to an end. A crescent moon sets while a very bright and enthralling sun begins to rise over icy mountains.

Even though it is a human baby who is seeking refuge and moving forward, the protecting orca whales project their version of god from the heavens to watch over this fleeing infant. A phantom-like god orca whale is sailing over the stars and gliding through the inviting and radiating sunlight! This newfound sunlight can assure the card puller that peaceful times are on the way.

During the night, the baby and orca whales only have light from a small crescent moon as well as the many stars that illuminate the top blanket of a shimmering sea. Many, many years ago, sailors, and other nightly travelers, used the North Star (Polaris) to find their way in the night sky. The stars in this card represent another guide. A cosmically beautiful way to find your way “home.” (Or somewhere more peaceful than the last!) The myriad of stars reminds us of a time of entertainment too. Storytellers would look up at a vast sky and create stories from the constellations above. The stars above the baby are present to help guide the baby along without fear.

THE SIX: For tarot, the number six is thought to represent cooperation and partnership / marriage. Pulling a card with a six can show your ability to adapt and change within a new situation.

For the Six of Swords it is essential to know that it is time to move on from grieving, pain, hopelessness or a toxic situation. That new and more positive people / situations await for you as you sail smoothly towards the bright horizon.
