Some individuals find weight loss is a stressful thing. You have to go hungry all the time to make those stubborn pounds change. Most are terrified of ever setting a target for weight reduction because they can't bear the notion of starvation and the frustrations it causes.

It's just better for a lot of people to be overweight than to get hunger pangs.

Who should blame them?

If the only way to lose weight or remain thin was to go hungry, very few people would be at their perfect weight all the time, and incredibly overweight would be the overwhelming majority of the planet! It's not necessary.

A fantastic gadget is our flesh. It is absolutely awesome! When we are hungry, the normal rhythm and internal workings tell us. It has a system of self-defense that lets you know when you need to stock up on petrol. The body reminds you that you NEED to feed in order to retain a sufficient energy level and have the reserves required for the recovery, reconstruction, and preservation of your cells is a hunger signal. An effective self-preservation warning from the body that it is in trouble and needs food urgently to regain its equilibrium is severe hunger pangs. They should not miss these signs!

Your body has no idea that food is in abundant supply and that it is one of the 21st Century's cheapest items. Your body works the same way the bodies of your ancient ancestors acted. Since then, the basic design of the human body hasn't changed a bit. They depended on their ability to search for food to feed themselves while their ancient ancestors lived in caves. Often, without dying, they would go for days or weeks and the body would give them warning signs that they were in real danger. When the body was instantly fed, being still in the mode of self-preservation, retained as much nutrition as it could in reserve as FAT! Your body functions now in just the same manner.

Starving yourself is simply not working. Assuming that you should deprive yourself and lose weight goes against nature. Of course, when people just don't take in enough food near anywhere to sustain themselves, you can get the exception, but we all have the effects of this kind of dieting!

So, we know that starvation diets don't work and that you don't want to go to the gym for two hours a day. Then, how can we lose weight? Ok, the good thing is that you don't need to suffer to lose weight. You should not need excessive levels of exercise either. The reality is that consuming daily nutritious meals and encouraging the body to fulfill itself is the secret to obtaining and sustaining a balanced, lean body. You will actually avoid overeating by not allowing yourself to go hungry, which is the very thing that usually occurs when you break a starvation diet.

One solution is to consume five or six, comparatively small, nutritious meals broken up during the day. Instead of eating three big meals at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, instead of splitting the same amount of food into six meals, eat an extra small meal between a small breakfast and lunch, one between lunch and dinner, and then another one if you're hungry afterward. Remember not to get the last meal near to bedtime, until 2 hours before bed is all right at any time.

When you are hungry, do not hesitate. Eat as soon as you're ready to. If you wait a long time until you eat, your body will go into panic mode, you don't have enough resources to feed it and you're going to overeat! Consuming regular and smaller meals will also help to keep your body balanced and you will be less likely to over-indulge.

Under the expectation that it will help you burn any extra calories, do not miss a meal. You may assume that you can save any calories or fat intake by missing a meal, but, as you have noticed, the reverse appears to occur. Moreover, if you go without a meal for a long time, when you feel fed-up and can not bear the craving anymore, you are much more likely to over-indulge.

Do you still know you are potentially slowing down your metabolism by missing meals? Since your body assumes that there is a lack of calories, it not only absorbs excess fat but also slows down the amount of fat it burns. You pile on excess weight and burn fewer calories and fat, activating the body's innate survival instinct. You'll find that you feel lethargic and sleepy as the body burns fat to turn it into energy. Starving yourself is simply not working!

You should also teach yourself to eat slower, in addition to eating smaller, more regular meals. Between and bite, put your knife and fork down and chew for a few seconds longer than usual. It can take up to 20 minutes for us to know that the body is complete and totally fulfilled. Before you have time to understand the full signal your stomach gives your brain as you feed at a rapid rate, stuffing food into you. You start to learn these signs from your body as you feed at a slower speed and prepare yourself to recognize them at an earlier point.

Take an estimated 15 additional minutes a day. This may sound like a lot to some of you. Yet all you've got to do is break it up all day long. Leave with an additional 5 minutes to spare for work and cycle to a bus stop further away or park the car 5 minutes further away than you normally do. Take a five-minute walk at lunch or take the stairs instead of an elevator. Instead of walking, stroll to the nearest store. If you break things up like this, it's easy to achieve 15, 30 or even an hour of exercise daily. And note, you don't starve, it just doesn't work out!
