Magnesium is how humans gain energy naturally and many benefits to our physical as well as mental health. Physical health can impact our mental health too, as there is a fine line between the two and we are whole beings, not how society has separated them both which is just plain daft.

People with mild mental health issues are still able to hold down steady jobs as well as, own and run very successful businesses. It's like many celebrities like Robbie Williams, Russell Brand, Patsy Palmer, Katy Perry, Kanye West and Arianna Grande all have mental illnesses but, are able to remain super successful and very wealthy.

Magnesium is naturally present in our bodies, but when you are deficient in this fourth most abundant important mineral you take supplements or eat foods that contains this mineral. Magnesium can be found naturally present in spinach, nuts and wholemeal breads.

This essential mineral helps convert food into energy, create new proteins from amino acids, creates and repairs DNA and RNA gene maintenance, eases the movement of muscles part of the contraindication and relaxation, regulates neurotransmitters, which sends messages through your brain and central nervous system.

Medical studies have found that 50% of the population in the US and Europe are deficient in magnesium. This mineral is so vitally important because, it supports 100s of chemical reactions within the human body.

When a person is deficient in magnesium intake, it can cause fatigue. More medical studies have found that athletes who took magnesium supplements for 4 weeks, performed far better than the people who didn't. They also experienced reductions in insulin, stress hormone levels and combats depression especially during the dull, dreary and dark winter months where many people commonly suffer from S.A.D.

Those people who suffers from diabetes type 2 medical studies have found that this group is deficient in magnesium which affects their low levels of insulin production main purpose to keep blood sugars within normal limits. The normal limits for everyone of their blood sugars is between five to eight, below or higher than that is dangerous as could lead to many complications or death.

The four thousand people that were tested on for 20 years with high rates of magnesium intake, tend to not develop diabetes. This group tends to experience significant improvements in blood sugar and haemoglobin A1 levels. High amounts of magnesium intake also tends to lower blood pressure, great for those patients with high blood pressure rates.

Low magnesium intake tends to be linked to chronic internal inflammation, which is the main cause of ageing, obesity, migraines, premenstrual tension (PMT) and chronic diseases

The foods rich in magnesium are pumpkin seeds, boiled spinach, swiss chard, black beans, quinoa, halibut, almonds, cashews, mackerel fish, avocado, salmon and dark chocolate which everyone should include in their regular diets more off.

The recommended intake for men is 400 mg to 420mg daily, women is 310mg- 320mg daily. You can take it in the foods listed as above or, as daily supplements, as we discovered the importance to stay healthy and energised with a normal metabolism to keep you active.
