So, you’ve spent hours memorizing the 78 card meanings the make up the Tarot Deck. Now youd like to start piecing those meanings together to do an actual tarot reading. Hopefully along the way, you’ve been pulling at the very least one card a day. If you haven’t, that’s a great place to start. Pulling a card a day, helps you to not only reinforce your memory of the cards meanings, but to start analayzing it‘s meaning in relation to your question, if one was asked. Also it’s important to note, while its important to know the traditional meanings of the cards, don’t beat yourself up for not knowing them all in any given amount of time. Be patient with yourself. Allow yourself to read the cards intuitively until your comfortable in your ability to memorize all the meanings like the back of your hand.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you don‘t have to now the meanings of reversed cards. There are plenty of readers who never read reversals and they give wonderfully accurate readings. While you don‘t have to add reading reversals to your repetiore, doing so does add and additional layer to your readings. After feeling confident in doing one card pulls, start adding more cards to your readings and eventually work your way up to Tarot Spreads. Spreads can be helpful to your interpretation of the cards you pull.

Once you've become comfortable with doing daily readings for yourself, now it’s time to practice reading for others. That is if that’s a goal for you. There are people who only use Tarot for their own self development and that‘s totally ok, but if you'd like to read for others than your going to have to break the ice at some point. I would suggest that for your first Tarot Reading, you read for someone you know like a family member or a friend. Reading for somone close to you will allow you to be slightly more comfortable than if you were reading for a stranger. Always welcome feedback from those you read for. It helps to know what you’ve gotten correct.

Continue to practice on yourself and others as much as possible to help build your memory of the cards and boost your confidence in reading for others. Never forget to let your intuitive ability’s assist you in your readings. Learn to trust your abilities and the messages your recieving. Youll find that your ability to read accurately improves the more you believe in yourself which is the most important element of successful Tarot Readings. Best wishes to you all who have chosen to pursue this incredibly meaningful craft.
