How to Manifest Happiness in Our Lives

We can manifest happiness into existence.

Happiness is the ultimate goal of each one of us, but attaining it may differ from person to person. Even our definition of happiness varies according to our experiences and circumstances. But we all come to agree to one point: that happiness comes from within us and not outside ourselves.

French philosopher Albert Camus aptly said: “Find your happiness in yourself.” It is not what comes from the outside that makes a life worth living, but what is inside of you.

External stimuli like material wealth, popularity, a good physique, or the company of a romantic partner or other people may give the kind of pleasure that we all want. Our earthly achievements, privileges, social position, or any other worldly pursuits may also exhilarate us for a while.

But all the pleasures they give are momentary. And that’s all there is to it.

True happiness doesn’t seek validation from outside sources. We can be truly happy even without possessing all the nicest things in the world. This is so because happiness is a state of mind and a choice that begins with each one of us.

How do we manifest true happiness in our lives? Below are 6 proven ways to help you embrace more joys in your life. To read more about my work, please visit my website - influencer marketing agency, or check out my Instagram.

1. Be grateful

Gratitude is the gateway to happiness. The more grateful we are for what we have, the happier we become. When we express thankfulness and appreciation for both the big and small things in our lives, we will begin to see the world in a positive light. Moreover, when we count our blessings rather than our troubles, we will feel more peaceful and content.

2. Don’t compare

In today's generation, people tend to evaluate their worth based on what they see on social media. This kind of comparison can only breed feelings of envy, body image insecurity, self-doubt, low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression.

Avoiding any comparison triggers is one immediate solution, but I believe the best way to stop making comparisons is to focus on our worth. Of course, there will always be people who are greater, smarter, or prettier than we are but remember that not every “glitz and glamour” is real.

By focusing on our personal growth and boosting our self-worth, we’ll soon realize that we have something that matters most to us and that can truly make us happy.

3. Be optimistic

When we add positive thoughts, our brain will relax and create happiness. So when we think positively, say, about the future, we think about the good things that can take place. An optimistic attitude can fill our lives with goodness, which, in turn, can contribute to our happiness.

4. Be at peace with yourself

Being at peace with yourself requires self-acceptance and awareness that there are things you cannot change or don't have any control of. It also means settling all your emotional conflicts with yourself and with other people. Once you’ve learned to deal with all the negative emotions that disturb your inner peace, you'll soon experience genuine happiness, calmness, and contentment.

5. Be kind

Numerous studies have explored the strong link between kindness and happiness and have found that being kind makes one happier. Lending a helping hand to someone releases a feel-good hormone that makes us want to do more good. Thus, the adage, "it's better to give than to receive" makes real sense when you show an act of kindness and generosity to others without expecting anything in return.

6. Live with purpose

A life with purpose is a life worth living. Having a life purpose gives us a reason for our existence. It can also help us make wiser decisions and avoid disorders that can increase our stress and anxiety levels.

If we live life meaningfully, adopt a growth mindset, and do things with love and purpose, everything else will fall into place and, as a result, we can experience true happiness.
