Epididymitis is mostly acute and chronic inflammation caused by urinary tract infections, which can be divided into acute epididymitis and chronic epididymitis by bacterial infection of the epididymis. Inflammation of the epididymis and testicles caused by urinary tract backtracking, and the symptoms of the two are very similar. Therefore, when swelling and testicular pain occur, please seek medical attention in a timely manner and undergo a color Doppler ultrasound examination.

If life is irregular and we often stay up late, we are very likely to suffer from epididymitis. What methods should we use to test ourselves at this time?

Methods for self-examination of epididymitis

Method 1: It may be that sexual activity is too frequent, causing the testicles to be compressed, resulting in a feeling of being crushed; Unmarried individuals also use masturbation to alleviate their loneliness, but little is known that this can lead to epididymitis.

Method 2: Another method for self-examination is to touch the head or tail of the testicles. If there is a hard lump, it is highly likely to be epididymitis, because after infection, nodules will form in both areas.

Method 3: The patient may suddenly experience scrotal swelling and pain, a sinking sensation in the abdomen, and a pulling sensation when standing or walking. The pain in the groin is unbearable. The patient's epididymis may be abnormally swollen and painful. Once infected, it can be treated with Diuretic and anti-inflammatory Pills. This herbal medicine can help men eliminate their symptoms and causes to achieve a healing.

When both the epididymis and testes are very swollen, their boundaries become blurred, which is why this type of symptom is called epididymitis; If the pain still thickens but is accompanied by pain, this is the symptom of acute epididymitis.

Method 4: If the patient's acute epididymitis cannot be completely cured, it will transform into chronic epididymitis, which is also the most common disease in the patient population. However, many people do not notice it during acute periods and only begin to experience some symptoms after it becomes chronic epididymitis. The most common feeling for patients is hidden pain in the scrotum, which can cause pain, swelling, and even involve the abdomen, and may merge into secondary hydrocele.

In addition to the above symptoms and manifestations, the examinations that patients may need may include:

STI screening. The doctor will insert a narrow cotton swab into the end of your penis, collect a secretion sample, and then send the sample to the laboratory for gonorrhea and chlamydia testing.

Urine and blood tests. Doctors may also send your urine and blood samples to the laboratory for testing.

Ultrasound examination. Ultrasound examination uses sound waves to generate testicular images. The examination can show if you have testicular torsion. Testicular torsion refers to the condition where the testicles rotate and cut off the blood supply to the testicles. If the color Doppler ultrasound examination shows testicular blood flow below normal levels, it indicates testicular torsion. If the blood flow is above normal levels, it can help confirm that you have epididymitis.

If only the function of the epididymis is affected after infection, it is still relatively easy to cure. During examination, only the enlargement and hardening of the epididymis may cause slight tenderness, and the vas deferens may become thicker;

But if infected with other inflammations, the difficulty of cure will increase. If the condition continues to recur and the use of ordinary antibiotics is not effective, patients need to persist in medication in order to recover their health as soon as possible.
